Very innovating and culturally enriched album, filled with explicit social criticism. It mixes traditional brazilian and african-american musical elements (specially "maracatu") with highly distorted bass and guitar, delivering an unique experience you wouldn't find anywhere in 1994. Their influence is undeniable, and were responsible for raising socio-environmental awareness regarding the "mangues" (mangrove) and their people - usually impoverished and black.
