I really like Spotify autoplay, whenever an album ends I love seeing what comes up next and discovering what Spotify thinks I'll like. I've discovered some amazing bands this way. But Spotify autoplay has ended up causing me to block Car Seat Headrest and Death Grips from playing music. Like don't get me wrong, I like those bands well enough but EVERY fuckin time I end an album Bodys or I Seen Footage would start and I got sick of it and eventually was like "I'LL LISTEN TO YOU, WHEN I WANT ... read more

God fuckin damn it Spicy you cheating bastard. Picking Nina Simone should be cheating because you know I'm gonna give that shit a 90+.

This is her best album, I previously thought it was Pastel Blues, I changed my mind this is definitely her best. It's her most expermental, her most beautiful sounding, some of the greatest songs ever written, accompanied by some of her most skillful work on the piano.

I legit don't see what the problem was with the last 4 songs. Like people get so mad over them when they're some of my absolute favorites on the album. We.... scratch that the last two aren't that good. I get that it's trying to be Blood from The Black Parade but it comes across as awkward. But Crows is awesome! It actually does sound like a more intense version of Blood.

What you don't like when albums take styalistic shifts. An album can't ever change it's time? I feel like this ... read more

Stop pandering to me pepper boy, it's not gonna work! ....ok it works this time but I'm still not happy about it.

You're a little stinky man Spicyb. Showing me glorious cowboy country full of smart and clever stories about love and the past. Backed by amazing southern guitar skills and Merle Haggard's absolutely beautiful, southern smoked voice. Absolutely beautiful country music, like the ideallic image ... read more

Um, alright that was 33 minutes of nothing happening. I kept waiting for the album to start....and it never did!

Dr. John kinda sounds like a shittier Tom Waits which like...that's fine you don't need to have a good voice to be a great singer. But Dr. John's voice is much less a singing voice as much as it is "I'm talking over barely any instrumentals." It's very distractingly bad and at points ... read more

I was gonna make a joke review about this song, but then I realized nothing I could say could top the pure brilliance of How I Beat Shaq. The pure concept, that Shaquille O'neil, back from making Kazaam or Steel or whatever, AGREED to LOSE TO THIS BOY! THIS SMALL CHILD! IN THE MOST WIDELY PUBLICISED EVENT IN HISTORY. HE LOST TO AC. AC WAS JUST STANDING THERE. AT THE PLAYGROUND. SMOKING CRAB, SMOKING SALMON. AND SHAQ WITH HIS HUBRIS DECIDED HE COULD WIN AGAINST THIS GOD?

I actually love this ... read more

Also saying there far more characteristic records from a country with such a musical history and legacy... but as I said, it’s your list.
Nov 22, 2020
I mean... it’s your list, you can do whatever you want, and technically Las Mosquitos’ album does comply with the tittle. I’m just saying there’s some better music from here and that it would be cool if you could check it out :)
Nov 22, 2020
Well... I'm not saying Las Mosquitas isn't a fun or interesting listen, but there are far more "artistic" albums and most of them are great. I would personally say the best music from South America (or at least hispanic countries) comes from Argentina (although you have rated a lot of things from here). I have many favorites so I'll try to narrow it down to just a few:
