I still feel like Future Rave should be more Rave and less Future, but this works better than other attempts I've heard at the same style because it's clear that deadmau5 and kaskade actually have a reverence for the rave era, even if the execution is spotty and can sometimes run a little too generic for my taste.
While it can sometimes feel more like a glorified setlist for future Skrillex shows rather than a cohesive body of work, Quest For Fire more than makes up for its lack of cohesion by being chock full of Skrillex's most well-rounded and polished bangers yet.
