The album has it's highs (Yeah, Confessions II, Simple Things) but it also is packed with so many meh to plain bad tracks it's hard for me to see what Apple was thinking putting this album in the top 100. Outside of Yeah, every songs sounds way too similar. Usher's vocal performance is excellent throughout, but some of the lyrics could've been written by a 12 year old. The production ranges from awful to good, but is much more frequently the former. It sounds have not aged well and critics at the time weren't exactly raving about it either. The good just doesnt outweigh the mediocre I couldn't wait for this album to be over.
