It's certainly a 2010's project that I rate extremely highly! (Maybe too high!?)
It's actually in my top 20 most streamed albums of all time statistically.
Whenever a song from it comes on from my Liked Songs playlist I feel like I then have to go and listen to the entirety of the album afterwards. (AND I LIKE DOING THAT!!!!)
Some of my highlights are Army, Boyfriend, Tall, & obviously the two heavy hitters, Anime World and Squidrific.
It's a concise album that ... read more
There's some misses, there's some of his best work, and there's some okay tacks. I don't personally believe that the misses hurt the album enough like some others. Definitely a solid B- project. Not as good as Acid Rap, 10 day, and Coloring Book, but it's a good step in the right direction.
I already knew it was one of my favorite projects ever I just wanted to make sure it was documented. Every track is phenomenal but the outstanding ones are Bunny is a Rider, Sunset, I Believe, Blood and Butter, Smoke, and Billions.
It's basically perfect. One of my favorite albums ever.
After 3-4 listens I can say that this is awesome :) I really like how concise this is and for an album that doesn't have a singular theme/story, it still blends everything together nicely. It's also just really good on the ears with the production being as good as it is for me.
highlights: Wacced out murals, squabble up, reincarnated, tv off, and heart part. 6
This is the best album of the trilogy. It has easily aged the best for me and there's still a half a dozen tracks on it that are apart of my current playlists. It's not perfect but it's fucking awesome. It's starts off insane with the first three tracks all being fantastic and then there's little to nothing wrong with any track from BLEACH onwards. Even songs that weren't everyone's cup of tea at the time of release like HOTTIE go crazy for me in ... read more
This album is just a hair better than the first in the trilogy. The songs that I liked back when it first came out are still some of my favorites along with tracks like GAMBA and SUMMER being ones that I liked EVEN MORE now.
Highlights: GUMMY, TOKYO, JUNKY, SWEET, GAMBA, SUMMER
Just about as great when I listened to it back in 2017.
Highlights: Star, Swim, Milk, Face, Waste
I've probably have done somewhere in between 8-10 listens overall? I don't know what you want from me this shit is insane.
There's some really high points on this album! I gave it a quick re-listen and realized that there's not much here that isn't just fine either. Highlights include Georgia, Mississippi, Peach & Boyer. It's still great!
It's kind of difficult to make bad music when the material you're working with is already pretty great for the most part. But this shit is top tier. Tracks like The Starting Line, The End, Smooth & Wow Wow are just a handful of tracks on here that are home runs. Overall there's really nothing just only okay on here besides a few interludes? An amazing mash-up album from start to finish!
I originally listened to this project when it came out in its' entirety and very much enjoyed myself. I still have a poster of the album cover in my room. I don't remember how I even came to getting it, but all that matters is that I really enjoyed my listening experience when the album originally dropped. Going back and listening to the project again all of this time later? I still enjoy the moments that I enjoyed originally. For example, songs like Rage, We Could Be Free and Down ... read more
One of my favorite mixtapes of all time right here! The four track run starting at Time Is Money to Holy Holy is genuinely perfect to me. Every feature is perfect, every verse is as well. Obviously I really enjoy the rest of the project as well especially classics like Orange Soda and Tweakin' with Chance's feature.
After a decade or so we ended up getting Acid Rap and 10 day on streaming services...I think it's time that we get this 2010's classic on there as well!
My Favorite Saba project :) Does just about everything right and then some. Tracks like Life, Calligraphy, Prom / King and Heaven All Around Me are just shining examples of how amazingly Saba can create a narrative throughout the duration of a single song. An amazing album that I absolutely love!
