Green Day - Father of All...

Green Day have always played a key role in my life. As a young child, my mom used to play “American Idiot” and “Dookie” on car rides. Before the release of this album, I went on a Green Day reviewing binge to make sure I’ve heard everything so far. It’s interesting to see a band transition from epic rock operas such as those aforementioned to... this.

Without a doubt, “Father of all Motherfuckers” is Green Day’s worst record. Their first total pop-rock effort, it doesn’t even feel like Green Day anymore, apart from the sparse vocal appoggiaturas. There is very little of anything memorable or notable here, as much tracks sound very much alike. I am not fulfilled by the end of this, as it’s literally only 26 minutes long. The overall tone just seems totally forced for popularity, and seems as if the band is running out of ideas quickly. We waited 4 years... for this?

FAV TRACKS: Oh Yeah, Father of All..., Stab You In The Heart
