they ain't real hip hop like these guys.
Now let's get it all in perspective.
God's Son is Nas's sixth official studio album and contains some of his most personal stuff he has ever written, and that's saying something given Nas has always written some deep and poetic shit.
This album features a lot of production from Salaam Remi, who has an 80% hit rate on this album, with two insane beats with Get Down and especially Made You Look, which really brings that feeling of real hip hop. Hey Nas and I Can have good beats and while they ... read more

Kendrick was exactly right in that bar. Section.80 is one of Kendrick's most understandable projects and yet it hits so hard, in fact it is probably the third best Kendrick album.
For people saying that Damn and Mr Morale were better looks into Kendrick's mind, I show this to them. Kendrick is in his supposed development phase and he shows a lot of great technique here, rapping over some really good beats (not as good as GKMC or TPAB, ... read more
Step inside the booth, Superman is ALIVE!
However, this time, Jay's kryptonite is his flow and rapping. Which is pretty much never the case for a Jay-Z album.
This album got a lot of mixed reviews and it's easy to see why. Jay seems to have switched up his flow yet again (listen to Black Album and this next, you'll see the difference). Apparently Jay recorded a lot of the songs while he was on tour so as a result, he sounds a little tired and rusty. Along with this, he coasts a lot lyrically ... read more
What more could Jay say?
The Black Album was meant to be Jay-Z's last album before retiring and if he actually retired, what a way this is to go. I don't think there is a single misstep on this album as every track on here is pretty much the best of Jay-Z. This album probably has the best mix of lyrics and beats in a Jay-Z album and given that lyrics and beat selection are two of Jay's strongest qualities, that really says something.
Jay actually doesn't really have any ... read more
Kendrick Lamar is a rapper that does deserve most of his respect and dues, even if I am shaky on his recent albums. Despite that comment, this album is one of the best hip hop albums of the 2010s and one of the best of all time.
I love the title straight away. It sticks to you and it means something. I think m.A.A.d stands for My Angel on Angel Dust. That says some shit. This is where prime Kendrick creates a storytelling album, where he raps his detailed stories of growing up in Compton and I ... read more
This is one of the best albums you'll hear in your life. Like ever.
The dark moody atmosphere that Havoc creates mixed with the East Coast rapping, with Prodigy spitting the illest here. I knew from those strings on Animal Instinct that this album would at least be in my top 50. It's actually my top 1. I don't even think there's a single misstep here. Even the ones that aren't considered top tier would be the best on 99% of hip hop albums.
I've seen people put The Infamous way above this ... read more
