still got the usual dominic fike charm but its just a bit too unpolished, i think packing 8 songs into 14 minutes really limits what its capable of, it didnt give any song except thickrick time to express itself, which was my fav off the ep
this album is pretty perfect in my eyes. not a single skip. it hits the exact tone and identity i obsess over in this high energy type of music. its confidence is heavy hadned and unforgiving, the production is distinct and electric, its such a unique and me-coded album that im so glad i got recommended, i was going to skip it initially but thank the lawd.
still dont fw him at all. Some of the production is incredible, especially with creating an iconic song, Stronger, but i cant help but feel like too many of the songs lyrically dont match the quality of the production. There arent any bars that modern kanye uses, that are just, atrocious to listen to, but especially as a part of the trilogy it falls into, it is the weakest. That being said, its a fun, impressive 50ish minutes of Kanye with his usual boastful confidence.
i still dont like him but that was also amazing. felt like a victory lap
i dont fw kanye but that was gas, i love how confident he is and how his mind works on this album
cute batch of really vibey songs. Babydoll and 3 Nights are both staples in Fikes whole discography.
a cute ep of summer night bangers, 3 Nights and Babydoll are both such heavy hitters in fike's discography that they seemingly outweigh the other songs, however I personally feel like they stand strong on their own. I only wish this aesthetic was stretched into a full LP, however the tracks we've got are still great.
My initial reaction to this album was a lot smaller than how i see it now. I now see it as a nostalgic summer album filled with cute, easy and heartfelt songs. Its become a staple in the TyFm house, especially for beach days or poolside relaxing. A summer essential.
genuinely an incredibly impressive mixtape, packed to the max with really strong, passionate songs that act as a great showcase for how Cole blew up and how hungry he was to succeed. It also opens up incredibly well with Too Deep for the Intro, which has become one of my personal favourite songs of his.
incredibly creative and packed to the brim, having such a mixed bag of genres that are all incorporated so well is very commendable. I think itll take another listen or two before i can express my precise feelings
an easy, pleasant on the ears experience, though it does lack the depth youd hope it to have
a beautiful album with a perfect balance of thoughtful songs and the occasional higher energy tune. Dave is able to consistently sing with intention, skill and impressive lyricism whilst speaking on some truly heartfelt topics from his own life.
just a bit disappointing. A Dangerous Summer was a significantly better body of work and that was supposed to be a warmup to this. Its not necessarily bad music, it just doesnt leave much of a mark, with its most noteworthy aspect being WHO the features are rather than what any of them really provide. The best song was probably Went Wrong or My Time imo but theyre all pretty on par with eachother. Overall, it felt more like someone with a massive budget imitating Yeat rather than anything he ... read more
I was so excited for this album, getting Tell Me (U Want It) and Do It in the buildup set my expectations really high, and it really delivered. This is my fav album of the year so far.
The production is incredible, with very refreshing and exciting beats that are only bettered a very well written album as a whole. I truly appreciate that Underscores truly doesnt waste a second of her or your time on this, at a packed to the brim 34 minutes. The album thrives in its higher paced songs, like Do ... read more
one of the most exciting, unpredictable EPs ive ever had the pleasure of listening too. The first 4 songs have such an infectious and addictive energy that cannot be ignored.
