Why did I choose to start my day with this EP?
I've been aware of Ice Spice due to her breakthrough with her awful single Munch (Feelin' U), and let's just say that this EP follows the same shit formula that it baffles me how she's gained a following.
I tend to dislike Ice's flow which just sounds like she's reading off a script before the timer runs out. It even feels the beat is struggling to catch up with her.
The production feels basic as well as it relies on the same structure on all 6 tracks: jersey club tempoed trap beats with a bass boost, constant hi-hats and snares.
I don't understand the popularity behind Ice Spice at all personally, but at the same time... I guess it does get a laugh out of me due to how unintentionally funny this all is.
Eh, it comes off meme rap but on a mediocre degree. Just missing a personality to it.
