Updated review: I've grown to appreciate and listen to The Beatles more ever since I last made my initial reviews, and I now appreciate this album just a little bit more. Great first outing from my favorite band ever.
As I slowly cry and weep, this album plays.
A Crow Looked At Me hurts to listen to. It's not bad. Not by any means. But because these songs can and will break you. The lyrics hurt to read. The context of this album is what makes it devastating. The creator lost his wife to pancreatic cancer in 2016. That hurts enough as it is. Espesially with once again, some of the lyrics on here. The album with the most troubled development is the album where the beatles go as far as they can with experimentation. With just 30 songs, rounding up to an almost hour and a half long album, there are obviously some very bold songs to say the least. Some of the best songs on here are some of the best songs in the beatles discography. Unlike the movie, Magical Mystery Tour the album is pretty good all things considered. It's kinda more of the same from Sgt. Pepper, but with a more surreal twist. Some of the songs on here are very unique in the beatles discography, because they don't follow some of the formulas the beatles usually follow, even during their most experimental Era.
