If you've listened to any CC album post Evisceration Plague you've heard everything this album has to offer. So boring that I'm surprised it didn't oink when I hit play.

It fills a niche pretty well!
If you want drively, obnoxiously optimistic Britpop, you've come to the right place.
The production is a little questionable to me in the drums. I don't think the drums sound bad but they just have this generic feeling to them that I can't describe, it feels strange to describe drums that way but nonetheless. The guitar tones sound pretty nice, and the bass tone is perfectly picked.

Yard Act's snarky, cynical lyricism has been refined in this standout track.
The riffs are infectious, and the groove is impeccable.
The only criticism I have is the way that he says "naked", it sounds weird.

The best way to explain why the Sex Pistols were entirely clueless about politics and just wanted to piss people off was that they go from demonizing a woman for having an abortion on Bodies to calling the United Kingdom a fascist regime on God Save the Queen.

I had seen the album cover for this a bunch but I didn't realize that this was going to be one of the best death metal albums I'd ever heard.
The riffs are, from front to back, extremely memorable, technical, and just plain heavy. I particularly enjoy the use of pinch harmonics on this album (the high pitched noise the guitar makes with a certain picking technique), which keep the riffs on their toes while not being overused. It's definitely a darker ending but I like how In Water shows the extended cutscene between James and Mary that gets cut short in other endings, plus it collides better with Mary's ending letter in a far more tragic way. The Leave ending just seems kind of inconclusive in a weird way because James has just lost it at this point, and the question of what he does after that is neglected by the game tbh. But it is a more hopeful and open-ended conclusion so I can see why you'd prefer it.
