Reason: Because it's the moat otherwordly and beautiful thing I've ever heard. Takes you on another planet and damn near makes you rethink your whole existence

Motion Picture Soundtrack by Radiohead. Although I have some undesirable memories with the song itself, I have thought about the pick of my absolute favorite song of all time and it might as well be this. There is no other song in the world that is as beautiful as Motion Picture Soundtrack, it is a song I’m so emotionally passionate about that it overshadows my love for a lot of other songs when I’m talking about it. Everything about the song from the beautiful harps and accordion to Thom’s graceful and melancholic singing add up to one of the most beautiful compositions of art that has ever entered my ears. It’s amazing.
Starálfur by Sigur Ros. DemaCalling96's Second Pick-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6rcPRt7sjA&ab_channel=ANTARESTA- This song continues to wow me with every listen, it’s a song I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. The string sections are some of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard, and the rest of the song is just as amazing. The song has become very nostalgic for me even after only a few months of hearing it. The whole song is just structured beautifully, god I don’t even know how to explain my love for it other than that it is just an incredible song. It’s peak music and its peak art. I love it.

A-Ha - Take on Me
I've always been a listener of 80s music growing up, but there's just something about Take on Me that sticks with me the most: it's infectious melody and groovy production, it's near impossible to resist whenever I hear it.
@ThePurpleIdiot's Pick
My favorite song is Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson. It’s my favorite song because it is super nostalgic and one of the songs that got me into music entirely. Also just because well, it’s obviously an absolute classic and masterpiece of a song.
@Dalton's Pick
Changes constantly but been "Praising kiss of life" by Sade thru the roof recently.
@blueczarr's Pick
El condor pasa. makes me think of a better life :)

Unfold by Porter Robinson. it sounds good.

-Song: Storm
I've always had a deep connection with that track, 20+ minutes of what it feels like a cathartic experience, whether it's the piano in the last movement, bringing a sense of hope and bittersweetness, the first one creating an excellent, almost heavenly atmosphere with the amazing chords, the second bringing up the pace with those amazing drums that make you think something equally epic and unknown will happen, before they slow down to let the third movement come up, a field recording that brings a sense of familiarity to the record, further enhancing the overall experience.

Song: Soft and Warm
Chamber pop piece with gorgeous instrumentals and the absolute hardest hitting lyrics, ex "Baby I'd leave you for the person you used to be"
@caleb's Pick
There’s way too many perfect songs for me to have a definitive favorite song, but right now I’ll pick The Scientist by Coldplay. It’s one that really resonates strongly with me and I’ve been consistently returning to it over the past few months, which is not something that I usually do with music.
@H1DD3N 1N TH3 ST4T1C's Pick
Bodys by Car Seat Headrest because its one of the few songs that I can fully relate to bar for bar.
@angelesque's Pick
The emotion in that song is so sincere and unabashed it’s really beautiful. the orchestration and production are otherworldly. her confession of love at the end is so captivating as she does it in complete silence, the repetition driving home the intensity of the feeling. Its just such a raw, celestial, feminine, stunning song (and album) that i always find myself going back to.
@maztergame's Pick
The production is immaculate on that thing.
@Haikality's Pick
Song- Poison Oak
It turned me into someone who supports LGBTQ+ Rights. This song never fails to make me cry especially after what's happening in the Trans community. The harassments, bullying, s*ic*des. I play this song to keep in mind that we, as a society are failing them and we could've done better.
@OscarPacho's Pick
I find it incredible how the lyrics are so beautiful and sweet but sad and lonely at the same time. The instrumentation and Phil's vocals are amazing, and I love how you can barely hear the lyrics, probably as a representation of drowning in emotion and loneliness.
Also Verse 4 is the most beautiful thing ive ever heard, the hope of experiencing that kind of feeling some day is what keeps me going sometimes.

Song: Turn It off
One of my fav. songs of all time have got to be Turn It Off by Paramore, because of the catchy guitar melody, Hayley's versatility with the vocals, and just sounding like a very introspective song about the struggles of fame.
@TheUmbranHammer's Pick
Song- God Turned Me To A Flower
First of all, when i first heard it i had to pause the rest of the album and just sit in silence as i cried. i go to sleep to it and i listen to it at every sunset. most of all, the message of the song being structured against the myth of narcissus being obsessed with his own image and then was transformed into a flower at the end represents the sentiment natalie established on “And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow” as well as for daily life. when times are tough and you feel helpless, become like a flower: peaceful, flowing, and pliable, able to change to your surroundings and better yourself. it’s something i think about everyday and even plan to get it tattooed on my arm. it’s a magical song that’s moved me more than other, and it transcends music for me.
@Keeby64's Pick
Song: Long Season
Because it’s cool and it’s 41 minutes long.

Song: The Fever
Very loud and cool and angry
@BardDaGoat's Pick

Song: Famous Prophets (Stars)
The way it builds to an insane climax and resolves itself at the end has driven me to tears a multitude of times. It’s incredibly cathartic and makes me feel at peace.

Song: The Creator has a plan
The best audio ever recorded. Every time I listen, it adds five years to my life span.
@Waner's Pick
That song's message of not finding a place for you to belong and feel comfortable in really resonated with me personally, while at the same time the composition of the song itself so upbeat despite of it's subject, until it shifts into a more slower but still hopeful finale that offers an inspiring sentiment of finding that missing place you can belong in.
@R1v3r_'s Pick
Song- For Reverend Green
Its the most important song in the whole world for me and has been since the first time I listened to it in the back of my mums car on the way to choir practice.

Song- u
Probably one of the rawest vocal performances of all time. the first half is dark and even scary, while the second half is just an absolute emotional wrecking ball. that third verse is one of my favorite lyrical moments ever.
@Cbuhrer's Pick
This song came out during the COVID lockdown in early 2020 when everything was scary and seemed hopeless and it was able to bring me immense comfort then and even now after a nasty break-up I have been dealing with. The lyrics remind me that I can live for myself and how much promise my own future holds even if everything seems hopeless right now which it often does. Combine that with excellent production, a tasty chord progression, and a stunning vocal performance, you have one of my favorite songs of all time.
My Pick :)
I love everything about this song, the raw emotion in Kendrick is beautiful, The instrumental is so creative and unique as well. Plus I prefer this over the album version.
@Musicreviewer's Pick
Song: Chicago
I love how cozy I feel when I listen to this, The piano and Sufjan's voice fit perfectly.
@ImpalaLT's Pick
I love how all the different parts of the song transition into one another, and the entire song sends you ascending.

Song-Earthmover
Its just so much good and ending is so emotions i cant ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhdjskkkkkgsdgsdgs
@Bobby's Pick
It’s such an epic track, somewhat indescribable, even. It’s not a suite, but it’s has a repetitive yet continuously growing beat that just astounds. The lyrics are great as well, but they’re better understood in the context of ‘Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?’, my favorite album of all time.
@TherynsReviews Pick
It gives me a feeling I can't describe, a feeling of peaceful and blissful freedom almost and it brings me back to a very pivotal moment in my life. It's one of those tracks that I can play on repeat continuously without getting tired of it and I just love it so much. It's been my fav song OAT for over 2 years now and I dont think thats gonna change.
@SupitsChase's Pick
Something Comforting - Porter Robinson
The song is extremely introspective, with Porter looking deep within himself and becoming more comfortable within his own skin. This results with him slowly opening up and the autotune vocals start to fade out as the song goes before his voice is completely revealed, showing that he has overcome that barrier that once held him back. Not only that, but the song slaps. It keeps me going and I love the song to death.
