very consistent artist. she's not the most accessible or instantly memorable, but i have a soft spot for her distinctive style.

Okay, okay - I was wrong. This is not pop for the masses, this is crafty pop for the bourgeois. And it's definitely not formulaic, it's the opposite of formulaic.
Okay, there are tens of great hooks and choruses but the album as a whole lacks what I call "The Cutting Edge". I think that the instrumentals are not on the same level as the song-writing. Competent pop, even though there are no super big bangers. Diggy Down is the best song of Inna in general.

She wants to sound like Kate Bush and almost succeeds. The instrumentals are absolutely terrific, great composing.

the spaceless 17 minutes of Movies, Mirror Forever and Wild Time are one of the best musical pieces i’ve ever heard

Foals are having fun but I don't see a super stand-out song. Maybe Syrups has this potential, time will tell. Are they way too pretentious or I'm lying to myself?!

I do smell the album of the year here.
It's easy to listen, there is space in this music, it's so chilled out. It sounds as brand new and at the same time it somehow brings me back to childhood and gives me a sense of nostalgia. This is how you make pop, kids.

One of the best pop records this year. I've been following those guys ever since i first heard Attracting Flies in 2012. They managed to keep their distinctive style and avoided being repetitive. "Champagne Eyes" is a great song.

For a long time, I used to defy her as a good artist. I deemed her boring & dull, her music uneventful. And then suddenly I gave Los Ageless one more try and I kind of fell in love with her sound.
Turns out Strange Mercy is my favourite record I've heard from her by now. What I like the most is the simplicity. It's a straightforward pop record and not ashamed of it.
