That's what 2 years and 1000+ albums of experience can change. Sometimes is good to come back to an album. Your life can shine a different life on it than it did before.
I'm sad that I never listened to his music when he was still with us. I'm glad I did it now, which just makes me even more sad because the potential I can hear in his music is limitless.
I can't thank you enough for helping me reach 400 followers! Sometimes, a funny sentence posted at the perfect time is all it takes.
I really appreciate anyone who took the time to visit my profile.
Now, let's talk about the record.
I'm planning to give it two more listens, but after the first two, I'm just not feeling it as much as I'd hoped. It's not bad at all, it's just not as captivating as I thought it would be. The highlights for me so far are ... read more
The type of music you would find on American Truck Simulator radio to avoid copyright.
Yearly reminder that critics occasionally all meet together to smoke crack and boost some debut album.

Massively grew on me. Highly recommend the live versions of the songs. Guy is insane.
There are a couple of less fitting tracks on the LP and maybe they will grow on me but despite that - the opening and the closing of the album is perfect. Sometimes it feels like IGOR pt.2 apart from the obvious negative spin on the colors and the cover, thematically the songs are a lot more personal that on CMIYGL. Worth the hype.
This is THE Album of The Year. I don’t really see the other options. Might as well be the most deserving 100 I’ve given in a while.

It might be my album of the year right now. Definitely top 3. Just gets better with every listen
It's not easy to put into words how much the vibe of this album resonates with me.
I have been following the development of Billie's career practically from the very beginning. Since her first album, whose dark aesthetic won the hearts of teenage girls. However, those teenage girls are now as grown up as their idol. Creative progression is even to be expected, and while there is nothing wrong with sticking firmly to the same style, it gets much more interesting when an artist starts to broaden their horizons as they get older.
I'm glad that Billie has taken just such a path. ... read more
'All Born Screaming' is the eighth studio album by Annie Clark. I'd already heard her two previous albums, 'Daddy's Home' and 'MASSEDUCTION'. So I was already familiar with the brilliant art-rock Annie can create. Nevertheless, the album in question today exceeds that already high bar set by recent albums.
It's got gothic organ sounds, strings, brass section and heavy synths. It defies classification within a single genre.
As the album progresses, it evolves into industrial or even alt-dance. ... read more
When Dua Lipa released her album 'Future Nostalgia' in 2020, critics and listeners alike agreed that she had just entered the pantheon of pop stars. The disc was a perfect "radio" construction. Composed practically of hits alone, as each one worked well as an independent single. No wonder, then, that when we first heard the track 'Houdini' last November, our brains went into anticipation mode for the next pop masterpiece. Then there were all the previews and interviews that got us ... read more
IS THAT POST MALONE FROM FORTNIGHT???
Seriously. I'd forgotten that I had "Laugh It Off" from Post's new album added to my queue of songs and after the first song from Taylor I had quite a comparison. Guess which song I liked better?
It's surprising what kind of regression you can experience over the course of a few albums.
"Folklore" and "evermore" were pretty high on my album chart in the years they came out but then came the Taylor Versions. With each ... read more
I came back to this because I still can't believe he will not make more music...
Amazing debut album from yet another UK-based band.
Very much reminiscent of or maybe influenced by some Black Country New Road-type sounds. They however made them more accessible focusing on beautiful vocal melodies and more art rock than art punk approach.
"The World's Biggest Paving Slab" is easily the best song from the album. Other standouts include the title track "This Could Be Texas", "I'm Not Crying, You're Crying" and "You Blister My Paint". ... read more
