"God's Favourite Customer" is Josh Tillman's fourth LP under the moniker, Father John Misty. On "God's Favourite Customer", Josh takes a step back from his word-heavy "Pure Comedy", opting for less lyrical content and pushing some of his catchiest hooks to date. This makes for his most accessible record to date. Whilst it may not be as rich in wordplay and wit, they are most definitely present throughout this record.

In fact, this is Josh's most personal record to ... read more

The 4th studio album from British songwriter, Jessie Ware sees her reinvent her sound with the help of renowned producer, James Ford. Combine the infectious 80's Dance-Pop instrumentals with memorable, catchy hooks and it's a recipe for replayability. It makes from one of the most thrilling albums of 2020.

The first track, "Spotlight" sets the scene perfectly. For those unsuspecting fans, who may not have tuned into the singles, you would be forgiven to expect this album to be slow ... read more

I never found the energy to review this album despite liking it a whole lot. It is devastating to hear that Groggs has passed away. It's a real shame that we may never hear from this great group again. Gravy n' Biscuits on repeat today. Rest In Power.

In my opinion, the best song in MGMT's discography, the constant changing passages of this song along with its insatiable replayability makes it for one of the most underrated songs of the 2010s.

"I Love You, Honeybear" is the magnum opus of Josh Tillman (a.k.a Father John Misty's) musical career. The album is laced with clever, witty lyricism throughout. Combine that with its sublime grandiose production and the outcome is perhaps the best love album ever created.

Truth be told, prior to a couple of days ago, I hadn't ever listened to a single Father John Misty song, nevermind album. I do not remember how I managed to end up on FJM's AOTY page, though once here I decided why ... read more

I think it would be important to highlight albums from the past 5-10 years you feel have been truly innovative, either in their general construction (production, instruments usage), vocals, sociopolitical discussion or anything else you can think of.
Would you be kindly be able to reply with 1-3 albums that you think have been truly innovative in particularly recent times?

So cool to see a scottish reviewer. I'm a scottish artist!

Yo, you may not know who I am but I just put out my first project of 3 I'm releasing this year. I tried 8 different styles and really tried to keep the whole thing engaging throughout, it has mainly elements of hiphop and you'll see me try my best to follow in the steps of new artists like Slowthai and Joey Bada$$. I got it properly mixed and mastered and I hope I can win you over with at least one track. Give it a try and review it, I would love and appreciate some feedback. All love <3

Hi there! I accidentally deleted my Fetch the Bolt Cutters review (instead of 'editing' it) and I'm quite pleased with it, would you mind giving it another look? I don't expect a like, just a read my friend!

Going through a dry patch and a lack of motivation. Will return to it when Kanye releases another album.
