Says so much in 45 minutes and yet I don't find myself going back to many of the tracks here. This is one that I can only properly review after much time has passed. As for now I will say that this album thematically and lyrically has stuck with me more than Geese's last records (and pretty much every other album this year) but I don't think I will revisit as much as 3D country, which is just a party from top to bottom
Over-hated by many but still a rather lifeless musical chapter in Tame Impala's catalogue. I'm not disappointed in this album because it takes a more dance/electronic direction, but because many of the songs sound like Kevin running out of ideas and just putting a four on the floor to croon some BS over. Ah man it is refreshing to hear an album that can have this much fun and still manage to introspective at times without taking itself to seriously. The major theme of the album is growing up, and the loss of friends and innocence that comes with that, while mostly being packaged in entertaining hip hop/dance tracks that make you feel just a little younger. Really great stuff

Really cool sound. Fav track is definitely Slowly Morphing, so damn fun and vocals are intoxicating
