This is pretty good art pop music. I love her EP, and this feels like a proper extension of that release.

Compared with the first album, Fletcher has really matured as a songwriter. Tracks like "My Love Was Like The Rain" show that she could be an innovative and diverse song designer. The background electronic sounds were very well used and they blend with the soothing vocal perfectly.

This project is quite reminiscent of last year's Weyse Blood - Titanic Rising (not just the covers). While both embodies strong sense of melancholia, nostalgia and introspectivness, "Through water" took the more energetic (or arguably less serene and cinematic) path and delivered something that is easier to resonate with.

Admittedly, this is not a particularly exciting or challenging album, some may think it is kinda boring.
Well, I won't disagree with you. But what this album lacks, it makes up for it with beautiful lyrics and sounds.
