listened to home for the first time in three years and smiled like a fucking idiot the whole time. this band was something special man
its kinda crazy how you can gaslight yourself into thinking insane time signature changes are normal. like i questioned a math rock primary on this until i relistened to Any Of It. tostroid is an all-timer
this album is like having a leg in one hand and a brerb in the other
“if you don’t like an album its because you weren’t playing it loud enough” theory is undefeated. tried listening to this album like ten times over the coarse of two years and now it clicks and i can confidently say unwound is my favorite band of all time without it feeling disingenuous. december still butt ass tho #LOL
i am being completely honest when i say i think this album deserves to be said in the same sentences as ok computer and to pimp a butterfly
fading out a song only to fade into the exact same song is funny as fuck
this would probably be as good as option paralysis if i relistened. i dont know. maybe i gotta drip feed this band to myself bc it starts to blend together at some point. also i kinda miss when singing was only on occasion
falls off the tightrope of cool that was so much of the appeal of doppelganger. its the vocals for me. this shit sounds like weezer sometimes. still awesome fucking riffage though. thomas erak is the scariest guy i’ve seen in my life
hearing live recordings of new plastic ideas songs is really jarring because i’m not used to them sounding anything like they weren’t recorded in Hell
hooked me with the first two tracks then made me listen to indie rock. little fuckers
heard there was a lot of slint influence in this album. notably i didn’t hear it until the album got a bit boring. fuck!!! i hate slint!!!!!!!!
As a millenial, this pretty much sums up what life has been like for the past 10 years lol! Anyone remember spongebob?
