Aries - BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU

Aries delivers a really fun and vibrant pop rap album on his sophomore record. Though he has a tendency to wear his influences on his sleeve, namely Post Malone, the production is incredibly solid throughout, with lots of guitar centric beats, and the songwriting is enjoyable enough, though lacking in some spots. Some of the lyrics on here just unfortunately stick out in a bad way.

The album could have used more variety as well, as most of the tracks have guitar centric production as I mentioned earlier, but the pop rock vibe on ‘KIDS ON MOLLY’ as well as the really cool sampling on ‘DITTO’ I feel adds a really nice layer to this album. It helps that the project is only 32 mins too, as I feel like if it were 40mins+ I would have had a much bigger issue with the lack of variety. This project has me really looking forward to Ares’ next moves!
