There's no water in the band's name cause they're simply too fire. Very funky throughout while keeping you hooked with just enough variety to tide you over to the next jam session.
It's rough, the A-side is absolutely amazing and includes some of Paul's best work, but then you get to the B-side and it's just kind of fine. It's definitely good music, but not necessarily good Paul McCartney music, you feel me?
For a 19 year old's breakout album, it's a masterpiece. A perfect blend of what made 70's pop so great and a strange, new sound that Kate would continue to refine over her career. Oh To Be In Love is awesome.
A whole lot more experimental than some of his other works, which is definitely where he shines. Most of the songs have something fun to offer and while some tracks like When Numbers Get Serious and Cars Are Cars get a little bit too goofy, they're not bad by any stretch of the imagination.
Very prototypical Paul Simon album, it's kind of a miracle that this was made in 2000 as it sounds almost just like his older works, though without some of the soul that makes the others so great.
Wonderful. Made me realize that rap can be art too. Better than all that mumble CRAP! No diddly bluds in this house.
Very fun little project from an underrated talent. Look forward to hearing more in the future!
Other's have said it better than I could, in far more words. This album represents the platonic form of beauty, every moment of it is it's own experience, and it just wouldn't be complete without even a beat missing.
I don't think, given a million years, that I could have found this album through any means other than how it happened; I saw a crazy looking cover in the New Arrivals bin at my local record shop.
The first few times I listened to it I didn't even know who Roy Wood was, I thought he was just some guy with access to a band and a studio! But no, this is THE frontman of ELO, and he's just fucking around!

I genuinely cannot believe this album isn't talked about more. One of the most special albums to come out the prog rock movement, and just as it was starting to show it's age too. It's sad too, only half way into their tenure as a band and they release what is arguably their most impressive album.
It's not all good, there are definitely down moments that just don't hit quite as hard as they could, as is often the struggle with prog as a whole. Proclamation has what is ... read more
