"The Colour of Spring" is where Talk Talk have perfected their new wave sound. The production is powerful, Mark Hollis' vocals and writing are haunting and the instrumentation is meticulously-arranged.

[Treasure Tue-Wednesday Ep. 2]
"Devastator" left me devastated at just how mediocre blues rock can truly get. The only thing I liked about this was some of the rhythm guitar sections. Everything else, from the instrumentation to the lyrics, is painfully by-the-numbers. The washed out mixes don't help either.

Mediocre
Justice try to recapture the magic of their first record once again, but they missed out on the moment-to-moment fun and infectiousness in the process. There are a few cuts that caught my attention, but not nearly enough to have me dance almost non-stop.

Okay
While there are some fleeting moments of punchy, catchy French House, "Audio, Video, Disco" feels like a step down from "Cross". The production lacks some of the oomph, the amount of highlights are slim and the vocal features feel weak.

Fine
Justice's debut is hard as fuck music to shake your butthole to. While there are a couple of cuts that could've been left out, the rest of it is well-produced, punchy and infectious French House music.

"You're Dead!" is a record that continues to blow my mind. The jazz elements Flying Lotus has toyed with are more prominent here (John Coltrane was Steven Ellison's grand-uncle, after all) and these compositions are insane, while his unique production adds to the 38 magical minutes you'll be spending with this album. The features are also outstanding too, with people like the legendary Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dogg, Thundercat and Kendrick Lamar lending their voices and styles. The ... read more
I don't know who he is, but Captain Murphy is a surprisingly solid rapper and the production behind his verses are amazing. It reminds me a lot of MF DOOM and, for some reason, Flying Lotus is behind it. They seem to be really close, but I'm still not sure who Captain Murphy is. The lyricism can be questionable at times, but "Duality" is a very promising project overall. Still don't know who this guy is, though. Probably Earl Sweatshirt.

The only thing I'd point out is that it could've used a bit more variation, but its a great track mah dude! Can't wait for this new record!
The comparison between IDLES and The Murder Capital is obvious, but that doesn't stop "When I Have Fears" from being incredible. The writing is outstanding, the production is great, the atmosphere of both the energetic and slow tracks are engaging and it's just very enticing post-punk. Now that I think about it, the last couple of years were surprisingly good to the genre.

"Animated Violence Mild" is a very punchy, cohesive industrial/dance record that makes me dance and you dance do you like dance dawg? It doesn't have too much variety, but anyone looking for some industrial salad to beat beat beet beets and dance dance make em dance to then Blanck Mass has just the recipe. Ya know?

While it can be a little overproduced at times, "forevher" has plenty of great melodies, beautiful production and a cute concept about a long distance love to boot.

I really like the production from St. Vincent here and the instrumentation is pretty good, but "The Center Won't Hold" suffers from bland songwriting and clunky ideas. It's not bad, it's just really, really weak.

"Face Stabber" is an aggressive, well-produced record with some great ideas and fun moments. However, it shares the same exact problems I had with "Smote Reverser" only worse. The tracks drag and meander for way too long, with some of the lengthier tracks often never presenting themselves with new hooks until minutes later.

HOLY FUCK THIS RECORD!!!
So, these guys have never touched the thrash metal genre, but they absolutely fucking KILLED IT on "INFEST THE RATS' NEST"! It's 80's thrash metal at its most celebratory state, from the distorted, universe-shattering guitar riffs to the drum and bass fills, and to top it all off, Stu sings with grizzly inflections, reminiscent of early James Hatfield, while yelping about death, gore and destruction! It's not all style either. If "Fishing For ... read more
"Battle Born" features two of the best Killers songs, "Miss Atomic Bomb" & " Runaways". Unfortunately, the rest of the album repeats the same formula throughout its 51-minute runtime and it relies too much on 80's Heartland nostalgia. Even The Killers don't like this album... yeesh.

Okay
This is better than the previous two singles, but it still feels like the members aren't giving this their all (especially bearface). Also, the mix is still utter shit.
While its not as good as their first two efforts, "Day & Age" is extremely catchy, hooky, fun, well-produced and enjoyable. There are a few moments of filler, though.
Fav Tracks: Spaceman, A Dustland Fairytale, Human, Losing Touch, Joy Ride
Least Fav Track: I Can't Stay

Very Good
A pretty promising first single, but it's missing some of the noisier elements of clipping.'s music. Still, Daveed's lyrics are as great as ever, the production is great and I'm liking the way it progresses.
UPDATE: Fuck it, it bangs
*unoriginal comment showing how disappointed I am with this new single from Peggy*
Special thanks to @Inglume for helping the community find that damn random button!
[Treasure Tuesday Ep. 1]
This is a new little "miniseries" I'd like to call "Treasure Tuesday" where I review random music from the random button. It's like a treasure hunt and I'm the pirate hunting for it. The score is replaced with a "treasure scale" to see how much this album packs (might need a little bit of fleshing out). So, on with the review!
