Good album that is absolutely carried by the powerful vocal performances as well as the catchy pop appeal. It's not the most groundbreaking thing soundvise, but it's an absolutely pleasant listen.
Even when this album isn't that interesting, Adele's vocal performance makes it significantly better. Your enjoyment of this album lives or dies depending on your enjoyment of her vocal style. She definitely is the centerpoint of her music which also means that you don't have much to cling on to if you're not a fan of her style of singing.
The instrumentation, while very clean and polished, is really not the highlight here. It really only serves to compliment the vocals. It does do the job pretty well in that regard, but it doesn't really do anything more than that.
