im not gonna say this is up to par with his other albums, but i do think this is overhated, however...
I feel like peggy has always had a love for shock value sure, but the way he takes advantage of it now doesn't hit the same because he isnt that same guy anymore. Maybe he'd make The 1st Amendment back then but whatever thickskulled insecure lyrics he has on Since I Met Ye wouldn't have been the same for most of his career, and I feel pretty confident on that.

pretty solid album that just feels very bladee. common bladee w common whitearmor w, nothing id say seperates this from older work persay but it works so it doesn't need fixing. fits quite nicely into his discography.
the idea of "political hip hop" being a seperate genre is weird to me. think about it, hip hop, from the get-go, has always been political. It came from communities that were dealing with serious issues. even when rappers aren't directly talking about politics, they're often rapping about their own struggles, which 99% of the time flow like a river back to systemic problems. so, in a way, every hip hop song has a political undertone because it reflects the real-life ... read more
for what this album sets out to achieve, I think it does. generally sounds solid (although I am still not a fan of these types of vocals personally), I kind of wish Lil Baby wasn't on this, but whatever.
Still prefer older LUCKI, obviously.
its albums like this that painfully prove the point that numbers never mean anything in music, and those who constantly mention how an album sells will always be bums.
this is the most unique sounding album i've ever heard.
that's not a sentence I take lightly, the blend of dream pop and shoegaze create a sound entirely unique to this album. each song feels like two songs layered on top of each other (spoiler alert), they all have deep intimate textures and ethereal vocals. the band's ability to bring together disparate influences results in a sound that is both familiar and disorienting, it evoked a sense of nostalgia for a world that feels ... read more
Truly an "epic" feat to make a 3 hour triple LP with not one skip.
"The Epic" is a great title for this, as its true for every sense of the word. Real love of the genre is expressed at every point, like a love letter. it's also the greatest album of all time to do work to, I lock in like no other album could make me. you can both listen to this paying full attention to it with how intricate it is, and have it as a nice background. I almost never run out of songs on ... read more
The feature list looks like one of those "you have 30 dollars, who are you featuring on your debut mixtape" tweets. Actually insane.
Don't let that fool you though, this dude could make a great tape on his own, everything on this tape is pretty top notch. I dig the intimate stuff he has in here of a previous life doing crime, gives it a personal connection type of feeling.
Very high hopes for this album.
bnyx has some intriguing ideas for pop beats but this new era of bnyx and yeat kinda makes me sad with what we had
to be brutally honest, kenny mason on BULLDAWG is everything I want baby keem to be.
And I’m aware how crazy that is, you can clearly hear keem’s influence on this, but the way Mason puts his own spin on it through his lyricism and beat selection seriously makes this something special. JID’s presence can also be felt on this, through not only his feature but his influence as well, I think more people need to pay attention to this, he deserves so much more listens.

not being very familiar with nmixx, i thought this was quite a nice breath of fresh air in the genre, many nice sounds in this ep, will definitely pay attention to them now
Old Review (From a year ago:)
It sounds like hes out his full on introspective era and is just making bangers. I’m all for it, but as an album its damn close to his weakest, but that doesn’t mean it’s great. He’s just trying to make good music now.
Redux Review:
Lets cut to the chase, this is his weakest album in my eyes. That doesn't mean it's bad, in fact it has some really nice standouts like reincarnated (which doesnt get talked about like ever) and heart ... read more
A laughably bad album. The only value I got from this was genuinely crying of laughter with my friend I listened to this with, in terms of bad music, BBW and Cheetah Print are works of art.
I’d say this is a step above in terms of quality from most albums by Drake.
I’m absolutely not a fan of his, but I will give him credit this is a pretty solid comeback (more on the other albums later, they’re a different story.) I’m happy he took much needed time from his previous dragged out slop and made something atleast more solid.
The production is generally really solid, no weird parts like its sister albums, no weird features as 21 didnt have a real verse and ... read more
