I love a lot of the music that came out of New York in the 2000s, but I've tried many times to get into The Rapture, and they're just one of those Dance-Punk bands that I just can't seem to get into. It's decent at best, but sounds like a contemporary of its peers that were around and were to come as nothing truly stands out on this album.
Just about what I expected it to be, it’s uhhhh certainly a rage album first and foremost. Doesn’t do anything to reinvent the wheel tho
There's so much going on in this compared to their debut album. It's a departure from their hardcore sound to a more post-punk/goth-rockish. I'm conflicted on some tracks on whether I like them or not, but honestly, there were far worse punk albums in the 80s that came out.
They aren't industry plants, so don't listen to that nonsense.
More consistent, more diverse, more raw emotion, stronger lyrics, just an overall improvement on the flaws of Sour. A solid project from Olivia Rodrigo, excited to see what’s next from her.
Not as bad as one would expect from a TikTok & Youtube star. Defies expectations? Totally. Is it something to marvel at? Not really. Potential? Yea, there is potential here if she strays away from the material of tracks 2 & 4, as they sound like every other billboard hot 100 pop song.
Is it odd that I get FKA Twigs vibes & Grimes vibes from this? Is that just me? Still, this is an excellent mixtape, but I can't wait till they drop another album, that's something to look out for.
Short Review:
I'm happy Uzi is taking #1 over Morgan Wallen because he deserves it a hell of a lot more than him. That being said I thought it was a somewhat decent album. There is so much fluff/filler that could've been trimmed out like we didn't need a cover of Chop Suey, that just put a bad taste in my mouth. There are some standout tracks that I loved like x2, Flooded The Face, Pluto To Mars, and Patience with Don Toliver sheesh don't get me started because I think I speak for everyone when ... read more
Joji has come a long way since his days as a Youtuber. After a decent and hopeful debut album, fans and critics knew he had much potential to go off of. Thus we got 2020’s “Nectar.” While it had proved to be a step above his 2018 debut album “Ballads 1” it still somewhat suffered from consistency.
I can not stress enough how much I have been waiting for him to give it his all on a new LP. Singles like “Slow Dancing In The Dark,” and ... read more

Nicolas Bernier's "Invisible Multicolore" is another boring ambient album.
The instrumentals are somewhat decent, but fail to keep you interested. Add that to the few vocal performances on here which don't really add any cream to your coffee. Throughout this project, the percussion is quite odd for lack of a better word. It provides a jazzy element to the album, but there are times when I wished It was left out or changed into something different. The album's ambiance ... read more

Kicking off 2023 with Oedipus Apartment Complex's (I wonder how he came up with this name. I'm just generally curious.) "The Blissful Sounds Of Miracula."
As the album name says this album is pretty blissful all throughout as it made me zone out into a peaceful mood. Good ideas throughout the album, however, after (Track 6) Glam, I felt like a lot more could've been fleshed out. In addition to that, it felt like it was somewhat dragging after Glam until the final ... read more
Yeah Yeah Yeah’s return proves to be worth the wait after being left with 2013’s “Mosquito” as the career low in their whole discography. After what seemed to be a never-ending wait for the band to get back into the studio, they have graced us with some of 2022’s best indie music. Karen O, Nick Zinner, and Brian Chase come together for a marvelous fusion of Indie Rock and Dream Pop.
