I hate to be that guy, but come on this is flawless creativity and will forever be his peak. Best rap album ever made (said literally everyone)
Coolest album he has ever made, it really allowed the culture to rethink his capabilities and push their own as other artists
Over hated, best album roll out he has done in my opinion. Unfortunately I forget about the album a lot, which is good for me since everything sounds fresh again after not hearing it for like 5 months.
When this album first came out I loved it for the first 2 months it came out, but overtime I found myself not listening to any of the tracks anymore, I kid you not I believe it's due to the removal of Good (Don't die), that song really held this album together, without it it feels wrong. not his worst work but it's close.
Most awkward album ever made, that's why I love. I still expect people to understand this album every time I show it to them, but I am fine if they never will. Because they can see why I appreciate it so much due to how different it is compared to the rest of his work. Experimental and random.
I used to think this EP was overrated and it was his weakest album, but over time I realised how wrong I was. The only problem I have now with the Ep, is the fact that this is an Ep and not an album, I wish there was more. But I understand the sound he was going for the kind of expanded/modern House of Balloons production can only go so far. Quality over quantity.
Not one bad song, not one song that isn't necessary or any low points. It's the most flawless album he has made and always will be. Which is why his already impressive production, song layout, lyrics and dark rnb stuck with people so many years after it was released.
The only reason I cannot give this album a ten is because Live For occasionally feels awkward every now and then that I listen to it. But over than that I personally believe this to be Abels best work, the world he build, the soundscape, the continued sinister tones carried through from Trilogy being widened into the world and the best vocal performance he has recorded for studio work since Rolling Stone and D.D. Kissland feels like an album that has passion and care behind it. Every song in my ... read more
One of the most underrated eras of The Weeknd, has some low points such as dark times, however the song isn't really as bad as people claim it to be. But despite this BBTM will never be forgotten.
Name me an album that can be compared to After Hours. You can't because it is its own world, soundscape and character, which I may add has an amazing voice that suits every instrumental/production Timeless work.
Still doesn't get old and is a fun listen every time the dystopian radio host and skits come in throughout the music.
Can't think of an album or a soundtrack much like it.It's sad to know it will be his last, but I am happy he ended on a good note and all I can do is appreciate what he has does for music and the culture. Thank you Mr Donald Troy Bando Gambino Earnest.
