I still HIGHLY prefer the vibe and tone of the first album, but this is undeniably the better album. Just hit after hit after hit until the last 3 or 4 tracks which I don't really vibe with all that much. But regardless, the fact that this has a fucking 60 is fucking unbelievable.
I'm happy to see Linkin Park find new sounds and experiment with their music, I think it's very healthy for the band and music as a whole.
BUT, I don't have to like it.

I can't put it in words. This album was the one that woke me up to how much I loved music. I do not believe there is one bad song on this album. I don't even think there's one "just alright" song on this album. Every last track is an absolute fucking banger and the deluxe edition even further expands on that legacy. God DAMN what a comeback. And, honestly, feels like the sendoff of weezer to me. I know White Album is good and OK Human is supposed to be pretty good but nothing hits with Weezer like the first 4 albums but this album doesn't try to. It's honest about itself. I think Hybrid is more consistent in it's bangers, but Meteora does more with itself and I find it to be a VERY close second favorite from LP.
