Open your eyes.

You're in Los Angeles, in that dark and lost bar with a strange name. You try to find your way among the onlookers who speak loudly, laugh loudly and swallow their pints in one-shot. The atmosphere is smoky, you can hardly discern the 3 dark silhouettes that appear on the stage at the back of the bar. 3 priests dressed in black, one of them has a microphone and screams shrill incantations with an extremely fast flow. Catchy and industrial music resonates throughout the room. Some wear terrifying masks. You realize that it is actually a kind of sect composed of nihilistic and anarchist drug addicts who make frightening cries in rhythm with the dark production. When you arrive on the spur of the moment, you know nothing about what is planned; Are they going to eat you? Curious music lover that you are, you are still pushing people to get closer. The surrounding population suddenly decreased in tone, driven by a tacit order. You just have time to see a black machine rise up, making shrill, mechanical sounds. Rattles, surgical noises, destructive beats, factory noises, but also African chorus rise at the same time in an increasingly unhealthy and terrifying atmosphere. A robotic and noisy voice is heard in the room: "IT'S CLIPPING BITCH".

Close your eyes. Close your eyes...

Open your eyes.

You're no longer in the Los Angeles bar, you're in a dark room. All of a sudden, the light comes on, your eyes hurt, it's not a normal light, it's a very powerful white light, a hospital light. In front of you, there is a surgical bed. Around this kind of hospital table, you attend the beginning of a strange ceremony led by three intriguing characters. They all wear growns covered in blood, one of them smile at you and approaches you. He has neither black nor white skin and crazy frizzy hair. He grabbed your hand always with his cinic smile. You feel that his hand is covered in blood which still fresh. He sets you on the surgery table and attaches your hands and legs. You do not really understand what's happening to you, you even try to resist the urge to let yourself be carried away by the captivating scalpel sounds that reach your ears. But slowly, the metallic rhythm of the surgery tools is right of you, you are charmed like a reckless snake. One of the surgeons plants the scalpel in your skin, while the furious beat of your heart resonates in your head. Your body does not answer anymore, you perform contortions in rhythm to accompany this ritual of which you always ignore the meaning. Your senses, they are still awake. You see that one of the men tears your heart from your chest. You see your heart beating in front of you. Your heart hoots, hisses, vocalizes ... Men incrust your heart into a black circular object like a disc. You are weaker than before, you see the bright eyes of one of the surgeons and you hear his lugubrious and cavernous voice: "IT'S CLIPPING BITCH"...

Close your eyes. Close your eyes...

Open your eyes.

You come out of the bar, surprisingly discovering the record "There Existed An Addiction To Blood" in your hand, you bought it by reflex. So, the band was called Clipping? It is they, therefore, who are at the origin of this demonic mixture between incantatory loud noise and African-American music. This terrifying, hypnotic music that at times takes on the appearance of an impassioned hip-hop, trapped by a monolithic rhythm, implacable, that lets us hear its heart-wrenching melodies. All this is waiting for you in this record where your heart is now beating. You can not help but stupidly fix the black cover of the disc. A thrill - pleasure? - and you resume your journey in Los Angeles' yellowish night.

@Kuru I agree that this album is not that impressive, I will probably change the note to a strong 7. It was just really fun to write this review.
