First 6 tracks are pretty consistent, if they were by themselves as an ep this would be a great project. Last 3 songs sound like her label wanted her to try and experiment and see if she could make a hit a different way. Hopefully it’s her label’s fault anyway, cuz if not then someone needs to tell her that those songs are not it. Best Tracks: Hit My Phone and B.I.T.C.H.

After several listens, I really enjoy this album. From the beautifully captivating introduction track, to the laid back 12.38 with a great feature from 21 savage, to the punchy 19.10, to the catchy 35.31 whose hook won’t stop getting in my head, to the entrancing 47.48, it keeps my interest throughout (and how could I forget the in-your-face Algorhythm!). I’m not bothered by a slight lack of subject matter at times because the music itself is just so intriguing and ... read more

I’ve been following Don Toliver since hearing his feature on CAN’T SAY from Astroworld. While I wish there were more new songs on his first LP since, the 9 that are on here are pretty good. Production from the likes of wondaGURL and Sonny Digital really carry the project in times when Donny doesn’t have much to say. While it feels like there was something missing, I have hope he’ll find it in his future works. Solid debut and still worth the listen despite its flaws. ... read more

I’m surprised I haven’t seen more buzz for this album. Really enjoyed this. Sure the whole R&B hook on rap songs has been overused by now, but I’m not against it as long as it’s done well, which it is on this album for the most part. Not sure what more people were expecting from Jadakiss, but it met or surpassed my expectations. Best Tracks: ME, Keep It 100, and Closure

This project delivers on what the Boldface EP collaboration teased earlier this year. Mesmerizing production that gives space for Boldy James to go in on. Add in outstanding features from the likes of Benny, Vince, and others and this album becomes a treat to listen to. Best Tracks: Surf & Turf and Scrape the Bowl
