North West - N0rth4evr

while the fact that this album was made by a twelve year old shows, north west shows great potential, and puts emphasis on the fact that she is making her own style away from her father. in the end the project had too repetetive and noisy production, while the vocals quite frankly sounded like they were coming from a child because... they were.

Vince Staples - Cry Baby

aoty ain’t no debate

on this new album, before hearing any singles I expected Vince to take an experimental approach, but instead he went rap rock which I did not foresee. but even then he perfected it. the production has a distinct sound and style, borderline too similar, but just unique enough to be catchy and recognizable. meanwhile his lyricism has greatly improved, breaking down systemic racism in america. while bjork's vocals certainly are more emotional, other than that vespertine is still better (despite this being a perfectly good album).
