I don't understand the appeal here ^^"

The work is colossal, with 24 tracks.
The major force here is the ambiance, it's chilling time at his best (you can tag this album with many things : chamber pop, sophisti, some tracks neo soul, etc). In that aspect, you'll not find anything like this for this year.

However, there are several weakness. This album really lacks versatility in every aspects : minimalist lyrics, the girly dreamy singing in the same tone, and the same sonority in the entire album.

Even if it's the purpose to give a chilling impression yet enjoyable, the ensemble feels way too much homogeneous to fully exploit their potential. There are not big standouts, which is not helpful to give multiple listenings.

You listen this album the first time, it's cool.
I don't think this album has a big longevity.
The potential is here ...

Well said. It kind of reminded me of the Earthbound soundtrack too.
