Kiddo, if it's not a genre you enjoy, don't force yourself to listen to it even if it's "hyped" or "really liked". Many (users or some critics) have the conception that you "need" to listen every genres and everything that is "trendy" at the moment.

i'd still encourage people to check out hyped stuff not in their wheelhouse cause you never know which album's gonna really hit for you or be a crossover for you and you should never stop exploring. you just shouldn't feel bad if you don't like it.
