Pleasantly surprised that there’s some great variations of styles on here which I wasn’t expecting at all. an ego thing in particular have these very preppy transitions which play on the alt indie pop style quite well.
I’d say Lizzy’s musical style follows the trend of ‘journal style singer songwriters’ that use expressive and sometimes wandering descriptions of day to day experiences which feel endearing and relatable. Lizzy however does stand out with this album as she mixes a unique collaboration of her warm vocal delivery and the great production choices on each song which always seem to surprise me.
Always one with great build ups, tracks like all my ghosts is a perfect example of a solid melody that grows and expands into this flourish of expression and authenticity. For such a young artist, she truly has a talent for writing the most sweetest songs.
ceilings is still such a standout on this record, and for what it’s worth I’m just super happy to have checked out the rest of this album as I really enjoy it as a whole.
