Earl and Al made a very good album here. I've been praying for this album forever and it finally came out. All the songs have the same problem with SRS, which is all of them are too short so whenever you start to get the song and feel the vibe it ends. But there were zero "bad" songs Earl stays very consistent throughout the entire album and of course, Al has amazing production. A few standouts here and there throughout the entire album. The only problem I have with this album has ... read more
First Nack album I've ever listened to, and it surprised the fuck out of me. I first heard him on a WSG song and thought he was good, but nowhere near this good. This album has a production that I find perfect and there is no lack of rapping at all throughout this album, A near-perfect album to me. And I'm insanely excited to listen through his discography. (I also feel like an album with him and Rome Streetz with this production would be fucking amazing)
A very good album. The production on this album is fucking perfect, the drums are the best I've ever heard on an album. The lyrics were weak, but I'm not taking that into account since this came out in '91, so they were top-notch at the time. Not the best 90's hip album, but I see why people think that. Overall very good listen.
Fav Tracks: Buggin' Out, Scenario, Check the Rhime, Butter
Least Fav Track: What?
I was so hyped for this album to come out, and it left me so disappointed, bishop Nehru has so much skill and shows not a single ounce of it on this album.
Fav Songs: Don't Even Matter
Least Favorite Song: Everything Else
I heard ICECOLDBISHOP on a boldy song around a year ago, and always fucked with his work. I got reminded of his song "Porch" today and decided to listen to this album. And It was an incredibly fun listen, a lot of inspiration from a lot of rappers but he doesn't flat out copy anyone. The production is stellar on this album, and the storytelling is insane with a lot of good flow and bars. There is no bad song, but most of the songs have parts in them that I think didn't have to be in ... read more
A nearly perfect album, The skits fucking suck on this album. But the storytelling and lyrics in this album are peak hip-hop. Eminem's best work, and amazing production.
Genuinely bottom 3 albums I've ever heard. Ronnie Radke/Falling In Reverse has a case to be the worst artist of all time.
MIDPACK has some of the most potential I've ever seen an artist have. His amazing production and writing are unmatched. I didn't think there was any way he could match his last album because of how nearly perfect it is, but this rivals it. The only reason I can't rank this higher is because of the length, but It's not that big of a deal. Good shit MIDPACK and I'm insanely excited to have heard new music from him.
Fav : Vent (97), I'm Sorry (94), Destiny (93)
Least Fav : Too Much (87)
Dropping the same day as Travis is risky, but this album is really good. It's way to short to give it a higher ranking, but all the songs are really fucking good. Craven is slowly becoming one of my favorite producers ever.
Edit Review) Fuck the length, this album's near perfect 90-->95
American Made: 100
Arrival: 92
Body Of Lies: 96
Homefront: 93
Deliver Us From Evil: 93
fucking perfect. zero misses and some of his best work. One of my favorite album's ever.
I was so prepared for this album for this album to not live up to expectations. But it fucking blew it out of the water. Travis's best album by far.
Fav Tracks: HYAENA, MY EYES, FEIN, TIL FURTHER NOTICE, LOST FOREVER, TELEKINESIS, SKITZO
Least Fav: DELRESTO (ECHOES)
One of the best rap songs ever created. 10x Better than the original. Every part of this song is perfect
By far one of the worst albums I've ever heard. The fact that this is considered one of his best by people is baffling, Very few redeeming qualities about this album.
Fav Tracks: Yonkers
Least Fav Tracks: Bitch Suck Dick
{Rating As Deluxe}
About 85% of this album is very good music, but the other 15% is boring and doesn't add anything to the album. Overall, an amazing album with some of the best music I've ever heard. Schoolboy Q is one of the most underrated artists of our generation.
Fav Tracks: Los Awesome, Man of the Year, Break the Bank, Fuck LA, Hoover Street, Gangsta
Least Fav Track: His & Her Fiend
This is absolutely unreal, Nas is undoubtedly top 5 all-time. This 5 album run rivals his first three. Hit-Boy production just works with nas so well on that album, by far one of the best albums this year.
Favorite Tracks- Pistols On Your Album Cover, What This All Really Means, Motion, Office Hours, One Mic One Gun
Least Favorite Track : Earvin Magic Jonhson
None of these songs are better than anything on the actual album, but that's nearly impossible. 4 very listenable Peggy and Danny songs. First 2 songs are insane though
Favorite Track - HERMANOS
Least Favorite Track : Tell Me Where To Go
A very very good side B. Surprised a lot of these songs didn't make the cut, because a lot of them are some of my favorite tyler songs ever. Fairly good, some songs brought it back to Igor tyler, and I don't love that type of him. Overall pretty good though.
Fav Tracks: Stuntman, What a Day. Heaven to Me, Sorry not Sorry
Least Fav Track: Wharf Talk
Jack Harlow tried something very different on this album, and I would def like to hear more of this side. This album def showed a lot of progression from his last album (One of the worst albums I've ever heard.) But there's some really good music on here.
Fav Tracks : Common Ground, They Don't Love it, Gang Gang Gang, Denver
Least Fav Track : Ambitious
Boldy can perfectly execute two genres of rap. He needs to make another album like this. One of the best albums I've ever heard in my life, the stories he tells and the production is phenomenal. Very little negatives with this album. Just all around amazing.
(EDIT: 95-->100) After learning about how long this album took to make (13 years) I re-listened with that in mind, and know I can confidently say this is a top 10 rap album ever.
