It's not everything I wanted it to be, but it is both good and properly produced, so it's more than I expected it to be.
To be clear I like Archive, they're my favorite band, but their last two albums were, uh, not good.

i mean it sounds like she had a lot of fun so in that respect go off but this shits too fucking goofy for me
the song isn't bad but peter is such an immensely boring vocalist and this song highlights it so much more than the last one
They put a V-shaped EQ over the whole album, completely fucked the guitar track, destroyed the stereo panning, and forgot to de-ess the vocals (not to mention what ever is going on with this reverb). It might sound better, but it's got so many stupid little problems that it's a complete no-go for me.
EDIT: 40 -> 27, relistened to the album a whole bunch and the remaster a couple times and the remaster really loses a lot of the original mix's energy
i dont know if the album is really that bad but Espresso gets the distinct honor (?) of being the only song to (somehow) actually make me queasy
this is literally just a demo, wake me up when there's an album to listen to
I don't understand what the people who use this website have with Parannoul.
Nothing this album does hasn't been done before, better, by someone who actually has any clue about how to mix and master music. "its not guitar distortion (which i would say does add to the sound and quality of certain music), it's just clipping distortion on top of already being brickwalled, it's technically poor to the point of being offensive
I have no problem with artistic use of distortion but clipping distortion is not the way you do that even a little bit because it doesn't create new harmonics it just destroys your waveforms to the point of being unrecongonizable"
