Cosmic thrill seekers is for sure a thrill ride for the listener as this album is all over the place which is not a bad thing. the album starts with an acoustic emo anthem and then gets straight into the action and does not look back. while nowhere near the level of self titled, this album is still fun to revisit every once in a while.
favorite songs: fine great, broken cash machine, apartment, going to bed now, your graduation, two good things

this is my favorite modern baseball project. jake and bren decided to split their vocals on these tracks and that was a brilliant idea as their differences work so well off of each other. this album is 30 minutes long but those will be the fastest 30 minutes of your life as you click play and it is already over. these songs make you feel waves and waves of ... read more

listen, i like uzi, but these tracks are just hard on the ears. he had not quite found his sound on this album and it shows. most of the songs feel like filler and this could of very well been a 5 track ep. honestly i was bored by the 4th track. i am however, glad to see uzi landed on his feet and has made much better music after this one.

while the latest album by SBD may not have blown me away like birdie and SAANF did, it is still such a good album. This album is more folky and "swangy" than the others and I am really liking the sound. the chorus' are so very catchy with MSIJC being the best of the album. this album also in my opinion contains two of jakes best songs to date in bobcat ... read more

this was the start for free throw and it shows. their music has definitely changed for the better over time. these are just a few tracks collected just under a 15 minute run time and its a very easy listen. while the stand out track to me was later used on those days are gone, it still goes together with the songs on the ep. not a bad ep at all, free throw just has much much better music out now.
favorite songs: easy easy, borderline, baby blue, out getting ribs

king krule knows what he is doing when it comes to making a cohesive album. as mellow as his music may be, it still hits nonetheless. this is a must play album when you are in a mood, as there is a song for you. as of right now this is the only album ive heard from him and am looking forward to checking the rest out.

this is pretty much my favorite album of all time. while i dont think its the best album of all time, it came into my life at a time i really needed it. slaughter beach dog and jake ewald mean so so much to me and am so thankful i found their music when i did. i mean i drove 4 hours and back in one day just to see them states away since they werent coming close to ... read more

simply put, jeff does not miss. this album is banger after banger after banger. the replay on this record is insane, i could never imagine being tired of it, whenever i dont know what to listen to, worry by jeff rosenstock is always right there for me. theres hype songs, sad songs, slow songs, and really anything ... read more

for the longest time, the only free throw i listened to was those days are gone. recently i have dove head first into their full discography and am so glad i did. it is just like their previous projects, loud, whiny, energetic emo music full of passion and meaningful lyrics. one of my most fond memories is screaming along to randy i am the liquor ... read more
Favorite Songs: Featuring Mark Hoppus, Pop Shuvit (Hall of Meat, Duh)
Least Favorite: N/A
This is a very short ep from the band which was what i think to be an early taste of what the bands newest album (why would i watch) would sound like. this is a lot lighter than their last few albums but that is not a bad thing. my problem with it is that there really is not that much to go on other than it being a good collection of songs. featuring mark hoppus is definitely the stand out track for me ... read more

i do not think that there is such thing as a perfect album except for maybe a very small handful that is either in the tens or lower. this album is far from perfect and is no where near my top of all time. at the same time it manages to be one of my favorite albums of all time. i am a stern believer in the fact that favorite does not equal best ... read more

Ok, I found this band by googling "bands like saturdays at your place" and arm's length was the first band to pop up. I gave this album a listen and forgot about it knowing it was good but thinking it was just another decent emo pop punk record. last week I decided to pick it up again and i am so glad i did. almost every song gives me chills every time i listen to it, ... read more
Favorite Songs: Type Shit, Like That, Cinderella, Runnin Outta Time
Least Favorite: Fried (She a Vibe)
This album is everything it is trying to be, a normal collab album between a very talented producer and rapper. It is nothing that we have not seen before. Metros production continues to make shockwaves, and futures versus pair perfectly alongside them. This album does overstay its welcome a little though, I believe that the tracklist is a little bloated and could've been dimmed down a little ... read more

I've always thought that Adrianne could have an amazing solo career on top of her work with Big Thief, but to be honest, I did not think it could be THIS good. This album makes me feel every human emotion in existence. The first track Real House feels like she is ripping your heart out of your chest and then continuously stomping on it in the best way possible. The vocals on this are ... read more

This is Big Thief's first album and also my favorite. I believe that this is Adrianne's best vocal performance to date, and it shows on more hyper songs like animals. This is their only album in this style of alt rock and while I love what they were doing now, I would not be opposed to seeing a return to this sound. Whatever Lenker wants to do is best.
Favorite Songs: Nancy From Now On, I'm Writing a Novel, Only Son of the Ladiesman, Well You Can Do It Without Me

This is Josh Tillmans first album under the name Father John Misty and it shows if you listen to his later works. While I do not think that its his worst album it is in the lower parts of my rankings, but I still absolutely adore this album. There is a song for every mood. I love blaring Well, you can do it without me while driving with my windows down, ... read more

Least Favorite: Notes From a Brief Engagement
While this album in my opinion may be SBD's weakest as of yet, that does not mean it is a bad album whatsoever, quite the opposite in fact. This is a very very chill album where Jake finally gave up the line "Still no piano" which made me realize that Jake and the piano go so well together. Also, who ever played the saxophone on this album, I love you. This is a ... read more

This is simply put one of the greatest not just emo albums, but albums I have ever heard and I do not take that statement lightly. This groups growth over their first few projects is insane. Kory's vocals have only gotten more strong and same with the writing. These songs know exactly what they needed to be and they hit the bullseye. ... read more
