Charli XCX manages to pull through with her most effectively strong and fun set of tracks on how i'm feeling now. If you know me personally, or have even checked my previous Charli album ratings, you'd probably be able to figure out that I'm not the biggest Charli XCX fan in the world. I hate her as a person, although I do think that she makes some pretty good music, albeit very overrated music. However, a lot of the lack of substance and obnoxious personality of a lot of Charli's previous efforts don't affect how i'm feeling now at all for me, and I'd actually say this is her most substantive record to date. I loved the songs here where Dylan Brady worked on the production end of things, and his influence runs throughout the entirety of this album. Overall I don't really see this as the definitive "quarantine album" like some do, but maybe that's just because I'm listening long after quarantine, who knows. Either way, I'm really enjoying this thing.
