Discord Review (07/04/24)
There is nothing that needs to say about this album other than it's one of the greatest things ever made. The fact 4 of the 5 members are in their 50s, making this album, that's impressive. Broken Cog is the perfect way to open up the album with it's primitive, tribal, and punchy groove. Then songs like The Abysmal Eye and Ligature Marks keep bringing out the best of this album. Like Koloss, not a single song is below a 9/10 (I'm not counting Black Cathedral as a standalone song but more so an interlude) and it's amazing. This is so far my second favorite Meshuggah album behind Koloss
