I'll say that I am happy that this was the next album after The Mortal Coil because it just feels like a continuation of that album and it has the same sound I enjoyed off that album. Prey for Rain and Hypermania are easily the two best songs off this album and are also in my top 5 favorites from this band. However, I'll say that besides songs like Vagabond, the rest of the album doesn't reach the same high as the first two songs and it leads to a lesser feel when listening to ... read more
Just like their debut album, The Generation of Danger is great blend of genres, using nu-metal as the base. The Hard Reset and Thistle are easily the two best tracks on this record and they are both in my top 3 Tallah songs (both are behind No One Should Read This off their debut). I enjoy the story they tried to tell in this album, especially with Justin explaining it on their channel. There is not a single bad track on this album and it feels like a near perfect experience just like ... read more
I honestly don't know what to think about this album. It's got some really good songs including The Vengeful One, Open Your Eyes, and Save Our Last Goodbye. However, this album is also home to some of the worst songs that Disturbed has ever made. Fire It Up is so awful that I can't even defend that shit. However, I will say it's very funny hearing it, especially with the message David tries to make in that song and trying to make it serious (which c'mon man). But, ... read more
Avenged Sevenfold used to be my favorite band ever and this album was my favorite of theirs, however, as time has passed, I have distanced myself from this band and their music. Coming back and listening to this album, I'll say that the highs in this album are super good. Beast and the Harlot is in my top 10, maybe top 5, favorite A7X songs. Same thing goes for Bat Country and possibly Trashed and Scattered as well. The first half of this album in particular is excellent and is what I ... read more
Just like their self-titled album, when I heard the title track and Slow Sour Bleed, I had pretty high expectations of this album before I listened to it. I'll say that the title track is still very good and Slow Sour Bleed is solid, but there are plenty of duds that bore the hell out of me just like the previous album. The best example has got to be Past Life Persona. That song bored the hell out of me and actually made me sleep during my listen. If it wasn't for Crawl Backwards Out ... read more
The first Erra song I ever heard was Snowblood, and I'll say that song is still a banger. It might be my favorite Erra song right now, though I have only listened to this album and their latest album, so I can't say for certain. Anyways, with that song in my mind, I had pretty high expectations for this album. While a couple songs like Gungrave and House of Glass were what I hoped for, most of the songs on here felt like duds and not too interesting. The second half especially got me ... read more
It's solid stuff. Nothing exciting to talk about other than it's just the type of music I enjoy hearing for the most part. I'll say that there are a couple standouts I can enjoy in the future, but there is not much else to say. I might be bored typing this, but since I've heard plenty of this type of music and find it pretty enjoyable, there's not much that I need to add for my experience. Overall, it's a solid album.
I'll say that I was unexcited for this album, especially with the singles being so underwhelming. While that is the case for a good portion of this album, I also had moments of unexpectedness and some good heaviness in the deep cuts. Casualty and Two Faced caught me off guard and are some of the highlights of this album. Also, while I miss Chester a lot, I do think Emily does a solid job filling his shoes (I can't say the same thing for some of her controversies), even if it's ... read more
My introduction to Celldweller was when I played Dead Rising 2 as a kid and looked up some of the songs on the soundtrack. This album has some very solid parts like Switchback and the Last Firstborn. Unfortunately, there are more duds in my opinion. Besides those two tracks and a couple others, there aren't really any songs that stand out to me in any form, which sucks because I love Dead Rising 2 and I enjoyed the Celldweller music in that soundtrack as a kid. I'll say that I like ... read more
Okay. This band used to be my favorite for like a month or less as I was trying to find out what I liked and didn't liked. I don't care for them now as much as before, but I still enjoy what they put out. I'll say that Poison is easily one of the best songs they've released in a long time and is in my top 5 of their songs. Other highlights include HIVEMIND, the title track, FED UP, and more. I listened to this album enough times to make me think that this could be their best ... read more
This has gotta be either my favorite or second favorite Lamb of God album. I don't care if the production sounds like shit (if anything, it just adds to the experience unlike other albums with bad production like St. Anger by Metallica), this album has amazing riffs, drum grooves, and just an overall feel that I expect from Lamb of God. Ruin has is easily in my top 5 all time favorite songs from this band and could potentially be my favorite. Overall, an excellent project, despite the ... read more
I'll be honest. I came to this album with low to mixed expectations as an outsider of this band, especially since I am not very huge on death metal. But I'll say that this was good stuff for the most part. Sure, it sounds basic, but I don't mind it especially since I have been surrounded by basic-sounding material for basically my entire life. I'm not a huge fan of the clean vocals in the choruses of Forever Astray and Between Directions as they kind of take me away from ... read more
Honestly, I don't have much to say of this EP other than it's solid music in terms of sound (maybe not so much with the concept but whatever) and pretty consistent from start to finish.
I am trying to listen to every metal project that this year has to offer, or at least, get most of the notable ones. With this being the first album of this year I listened to, this is not a great start. I thought that the instrumentation was solid, but the lyrics and a few of the vocal performances were hard to go through. Hatred being an example of great instrumentation and vocal performance but having beyond cringe lyrics. A Death That Becomes Us is by far my least favorite song on this ... read more
I'll be honest: I usually don't go for classic metal or rock as I prefer more of the heavier and progressive stuff in the genre of metal & rock. However, I was genuinely shocked to enjoy this album a lot. It may be more generic sounding in these days, but it started a new genre and wave of music, and it has also aged pretty well. It's a consistent listen and it makes me plan on wanting to relisten to this album.

This is easily one of Korn's best albums. The serious and dark nature flowing throughout this album is uncanny and leaves you unsettled and anxious. Falling Away From Me is a banger that deserves to be the big hit off this album. Trash and Beg For Me are awesome tunes as well & Hey Daddy and Somebody Someone really bring the uncanniness to the forefront. Overall, this album is amazing with a creepy feeling that goes from start to finish.

This has gotta be in the top 3 or even in the number 1 spot for System of a Down albums. It's got a feeling that I've haven't seen repeated much and also is probably their most original type of work comparing to what would follow later in their discography (still good but feels more mainstream). Soil has gotta be one of the greatest nu metal songs to be made with its crazy energy and sincere messaging. It's also got one of the greatest breakdowns and ... read more

This album is solid, and I wish I could give it a higher score, but there are plenty of things that keep me from absolutely loving it. First off, some of the songs and their material is less than wanting from a Korn song. The K word song and its lyrics sounding very uncomfortable and Davis acting like a 8 year old CoD player who tries to say the most nasty shit their small brain can think of. The Lowrider and Wicked covers aren't my thing either, even with ... read more

This might be my favorite The Browning album. If you want something close to sounding like DOOM soundtrack music, then this album is for you. It's got that element of the world ending, low sounding and chugging guitars, and solid synth and instrumentation. This album also has my favorite song, Gott ist Tot, due to its slow, maniacal, and chugging riffs and some of their best vocal performance. Honestly, this album is a very consistent listen with no track that ... read more
