This felt like it was missing something production wise. The beats didn't really move with BTS' performance to make them in sync (which was a problem specifically for the rapping) and my god please stop giving the mic to Jimin. The vocal mixing certainly does not help either but at least Merry Go Round was a pretty good song
Best song: Merry Go Round
Worst songs: Into The Sun, Aliens, NORMAL, Hooligans
This album is good but falls off particularly in the second half purely due to how short a lot of these songs are, leading them to feel like very good interludes rather than the great pieces of work they should be. It feels like her most complete album in terms of sound but her least complete in terms of pacing and lyricism if that makes sense. Dinner With Friends is a deeply horrifying song.
Best songs: Anime Eyes, The Architect, Moving Out, Giver/Taker
Worst song: Dinner With Friends
The worst produced country album i have heard in a hot minute.
Best songs: Justified, Angel
Worst songs: Good Wife, What Doesn't Kill Me
I've never gotten the hype of this album and i continue not to. Maybe it's just too lovy-dovy for me still (even if i rated those types of songs way higher than in my initial listen) and maybe it's because I didn't hear it when it first came out. It sounds kind of ordinary and expected, nothing much to take home on this tbh. "Mother" not being a full song is baffling there was so much potential there.
I think this album is where my issues with Kacey as a ... read more
People praise Golden Hour as the defining album of Kacey's, when i actually think it's this. The sound, the lyricism etc that she uses the most on her latest albums were born here and this is my favourite Kacey album!
I've never been a fan of hers whatsoever, but she proved to me here that she does have the ability to stick the landing. My biggest issue with her as an artist has always been often clunky songwriting and not doing much performance wise to sell a song outside of ... read more
It's a solid cute start to her career and I actually like both the sound palette and lyricism more than on her later projects, even if it does feel a little too simplistic at times to really reach a level above just Good.
Best songs: Keep It To Yourself, Back On The Map, Merry Go Round
Worst song: My House
The least original songwriting you'll ever hear that if you told me it was written from a chatgpt prompt I'd absolutely believe you, decent beats that either run their course or get evaporated halfway through paired with Harry giving us ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING.
The production was there to make this really good, but Harry as a performer did fuck all. This is easily the most monotone, least charismatic & least captivating performance i have heard on any album ever. JJ from ... read more
Not terrible unlike the cover art
Best songs: DELETE, SEXY FOR ME
Worst song: Complicated (with Inna)
Most consistently good mainstream rap project I've heard in a while.
Best songs: ROBBERY (with Doechii), DON'T BE DUMB/TRIP BABY, SWAT TEAM, STOLE YA FLOW, THE END (with Jessica Prat & will.i.am), STAY HERE 4 LIFE (with Brent Faiyaz)
Worst song: AIR FORCE (BLACK DEMARCO) (with Spencer Sutherland)
I have always liked Madison but throughout my history of listening to her, there's been a disconnect. This is mostly because she wears her influences on her sleeve more than any other pop artist I can think of. Even the songs I really like, I never think of them as Madison songs, I think of how another artist made a song really similar to this (e.g "Bittersweet" is dangerously similar to "We Can't Be Friends" by Ariana Grande in almost every way imaginable.) ... read more
When I first heard CHUU's music, I didn't get it. It wasn't bad, more that it went in one ear and out the other quickly. While I have warmed significantly to her, there has always felt like there's something missing in her songs - They didn't pack much punch even if the tracks were enjoyable. This project fixes that and is easily her best to date. It feels like more than just pop music, it is memorable, exciting and easily the most expressive CHUU has been as an artist. ... read more
The second half took a little dip in quality but overall really fun music that scratched a nostalgic itch I didn't even realise I had!
Best songs: Lucky Star, I Hate Silence, Who
Worst song: Flaw Flaw
Lovely stuff that is
Best songs: Two Of Us, Pieces
Worst song: Where I Need To Be
Do not understand the appeal of music that sounds like this it's just there. Not a single thought went through my mind.
Best song: That's enough to go
Worst song: UPLIFT
I really wanted to like this. It started out like the obviously horrendous garbage but funny bad pop shit I was expecting (and lowkey hoping for even if it's objective poo) but then transitioned into just boring rather quickly. It's not even worth hearing to hate listen to tbh.
Best song: Knees Up
Worst song: Run This Town
British people should stop procreating.
Best song: Drama Queen
Worst songs: Boys Don't Cry, Dirty Dishes, Shadows on the Ceiling, Certified
Lovely album perfect for Xmas depression
Best songs: Less Of A Stranger, Magic, Moviegoer, Be Careful With Yourself, Lydia Wears A Cross, Ignore Tenderness
Worst song: Love, Try Not To Let Go
I expected absolutely nothing from Lily Allen in 2025 but this honestly delivered more than I anticipated. Will definitely grow on me and probablyyyy get moved to 4 stars but the soundscape is really consistentand there's nothing that actively sucks on this album. Plus "Madeline" and "Fruityloop" are fucking incredible.
Best songs: Madeline, Fruityloop, Pussy Palace, Beg For Me
Worst song: West End Girl (sorry Kimberly)
