Nah, it sounds bad. You guys never include the effort when you rate serious albums. And why anyone would ever listen to this over the original is beyond me. This website is way too generous with these shitposts.
There is something about this album that’s simply magical and I love every second of it. Her choice of instruments, and how she arranged them, somehow manages to hit hard, but at the same time, have such a calming and chill effect. Technically, there is nothing special or groundbreaking about this, but goddamn, I‘d be lying if I told you I don’t feel something strangely unique while listening to Anak Ko.
I used to like this but it aged very poorly just like most of Brockhampton‘s sound. Nowadays it sounds very cheap in a weird way and too much like a typical teen anthem that tries way too hard to be „different“. In the end it mostly sounds awkward. Runner still is the best song by a significant margin.
