Jessie Ware - That! Feels Good!
91

This has to be one of the most entertaining albums of the year. The vibes on here are immaculate, Jessie really reinvents the disco genre in 2023. Who would've thought it'd ever come back, and that strongly, it's just crazy to me. Begin Again is top 10 song of the year for me easily.

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday 2
58

The samples on this record are simply bad. How can you justify using one of Billie's track in the way Nicki did? It's terrible. That being said, I think y'all are being a bit harsh. This album isn't good but there's some tolerable moments on here like Let Me Calm Down and Last Time I Saw You. It's disappointing for sure though.

Tate McRae - THINK LATER
67

I wasn't a huge fan of last year's record, and this record doesn't really feel any different. It sounds very similar and is in general a very safe album. I'd lie if I said that greedy wasn't catchy af though.

Kara Jackson - Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?
88

This is a discovery from Fantano and he was onto something here. This is a beautiful and sweet voyage through her mind and while it feels like a heartbreak, it somehow feels good. It feels like the longer the song, the better they get. That almost 20 minutes stretch from songs 9 to 11 is simply amazing.

Everything But the Girl - Fuse
64

I don't know why it's high up in all these end of the year lists. It's very much a mid album, and there isn't really anything special to make it any different from any other ''house'' (i guess) albums released this year.

Also, that cover stinks.

iann dior - leave me where you found me
47

I've defended iann times and times in the past, but I can't defend him anymore. While he did release a decent single recently, the short LP that he released last april wasn't it. Dude's been repeating the same shit over the same beats for years now and thinks he's gonna get away with it... Think again man.

Feist - Multitudes
79

I like this record. It's relaxing, it sounds good. I didn't know she was canadian too, which I think is cool. There's some pretty good moments on this album. Nice surprise.

Metallica - 72 Seasons
46

Usually, I love myself a little bit of Metallica. Some of their songs are know as some of the most popular tracks in the history of metal music, and rightfully so. I hadn't really listened to their more recent stuff until this year. My question: is everything they've released in the past 25 years as bad as this? It's 12 way too long tracks, where the structure of the songs are repeated basically over and over again. Even James' vocals on this aren't that great, and it features the usual super ... read more

NF - HOPE
37

I'm so tired to hear NF rap over the same shitty beat, talk about the same topics and have the same flow and cadence he's had for the past like 10 years. And that's ignoring the overblown production EVERY FRICKING TIME HE RELEASES. Like geez man we know you're underrated and on a mission stop talking about it nonstop. Cordae, why'd you hop on this, you're better than that come on man.

Rae Sremmurd - Sremm 4 Life
28

It’s hard to believe that these are the guys that made all these anthems a few years back. This thing blows so bad. Let’s never forgive them for Not So Bad.

DJ Drama - I'm Really Like That
45

Well I guess it’s not only DJ Khaled that’s able to ruin a bunch of features on a record. I usually like DJ Drama’s work but this is not it

6ix9ine - Leyenda Viva
38

I didn't think it was possible for 6ix9ine to be more annoying than he already was but here we are, a trash reggaeton album. His career has been on life support ever since he ratted and this should be the last straw (but it won't somehow lol). On a positive note, Nota is actually not so bad, it's somewhat of a vibe.

Aliocha Schneider - Aliocha Schneider
85

Wednesday - Rat Saw God
86

In all honesty I didn't expect to like this at all when I first listened to it. This is a great authentic indie rock record that incorporates a bunch of sounds from various different genres of music. I can see why the critics are raving when talking about this album.

Hozier - Unreal Unearth
87

Some of my favorite songs of the year are on here. It’s a bit too long for my personal enjoyment, but it’s still a very solid record. I mean it’s Hozier, dude is just amazing.

파란노을 [Parannoul] - After the Magic
80

I don’t get shoegaze to be honest. It’s a good genre but I don’t like it as much as some orher people seem to. I get why this could be loved and I do appreciate it to some extent, but it’s not an AOTY contender for me.

Melanie Martinez - PORTALS
51

''Push your penis into your mouth
I'll make you choke on your doubt.''
- Melanie Martinez, 2023

Fall Out Boy - So Much (For) Stardust
60

My first listen of this album ended up with me falling asleep in the middle of it. It's not a bad album, but my main thing is their style. I can't stand their genre of music for too long and especially Patrick Stump's voice. It gets on my nerves. But yeah all in all this is a pretty mid record.

Also We Didn't Start The Fire wasn't Billy Joel's best song, it didn't need a remake, ESPECIALLY not from Fall Out Boy...

M83 - Fantasy
82

I thought I disliked this album more than I actually did. There's some nice stretches on this record where we get some good old M83 vibes. The main issue here is just the length. This album is so lengthy by times and it gets way too long. 5 songs out of 13 that are over 6 minutes is mad.

Kali Uchis - Red Moon In Venus
79

I think I like Kali better as a feature artist. This is a pretty good album, but I don't really wish to come back to any tracks on here. It's not as good as Isolation to be honest.
