Being that my username comes from the silver surfer intermission, I kinda have to talk about this record.

What an odd time for Kanye. After 14 years it seems that Kanye is still yet to process what has transpired his life to go on such a downward spiral. If you've been following Kanye's music, it seems pretty clear that he's just been getting worse and worse in a way until more recently. 808's saw Kanye extremely vulnerable about his mother's death and his recent (at the time) break up, while ... read more

Man…….what the actual FUCK

like wow this has gotta be the best bonus track I’ve ever heard. I mean it makes sense considering this song is really an oddball amongst Mac’s discography so I imagine it was hard to put it on any album but wow man……soo good. It kinda reminds me of gorillaz with the way alt rock and trip hop are combining to make this surreal atmosphere. Also I’m pretty sure this might be Mac’s best vocal performance ever. Such a ... read more

God this album took such a long time to form an opinion on despite being mainstream pop rap album

Ah yes Lil Nas X. What an interesting figure in music right now. Someone who completely dominated the charts (and still does) all because of his online presence. Sure it isn't an entirely new thing but to this extent fuck no. Lil nas constantly has an unavoidable online presence in which he is fully free to express himself through memes and memes from others in order to promote his music yet he's ... read more

How I move forward with this site is gonna be interesting as I have less time on my hands than before. I think I'll stick to brief stuff but I still plan on making insanely long reviews for Jane Doe and Deloused in the comatorium

Anyway this new Deafheaven album is interesting for....obvious reasons. The band has stripped themselves from the icy nails of black metal that has covered them their whole career into straight shoegaze which almost sheds them of their uniqueness too unfortunately. ... read more

It's interesting I guess to hear the string work but overall it's the same classic song we have all come to know and love

Hey there! I’m making a community list for the end of the world, and I would love for you to contribute.

Prompt:

“The surrounding buildings, in ruins. The remaining survivors, scrambling to find anything that remains. Fire flickers in the pitch-black, creating just a sliver of radiance. Miraculously, you find an old device that can play music. You can only play one album as the battery is nearly dead. Knowing that you have little time left, what is the one album that you choose to listen to as you watch the world crumble before your eyes?”

The album topic could discuss a disastrous time, its sound could fit the vibe of a post apocalyptic setting, or it could be one of your favorite albums that you would want to experience for the last time.

Please provide the artist, album, and an explanation as to why you chose that specific album.

Thank you for reading <3

This live is extraordinary without a doubt, but it is also important to take into account that this one is a symbol of the fact that it is the last live and recording of Coltrane, 3 months before his death which gives the work an indescribable mythical aspect! (:

Elijah (or Eli if you prefer that)
Mainly here to keep track of the albums I've listened to and to keep up with new stuff. Maybe even make some friends too :)
If it helps to know me better, Death Grips, Odd Future, and Kanye really made me get more invested in music.
Also I really don't have many negative scores because I, ya know, listen to things that people actually like
