seventh in an ongoing personal series

This review is inspired by my Grandfather who passed away in 2015. He had Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and he eventually died from cancer that he'd been taking shots for for about 14 years before his death. It was his decision to stop taking said shots after being diagnosed with this ugly brain disease. He was a terrible man that was trying to fix his past mistakes and I'll ... read more

Finally, I went way too long without a 9

This is the latest project from folk black metal project, Panopticon, handled solely by the one and only Austin Dunn. He made a huge splash in the 2010's with his albums "Roads to the North" and "Autumn Eternal" which garnered him a massive attention within not just Black metal but the metal scene and indie music at large. While this is my first album with him, boy am I glad I finally hopped on the ride because this album is just so ... read more

The purpose of pain is to get our attention that something is wrong, protect us from further damage and to request care. It's in this sense that a little bit of pain is a good thing

The queen of horrorcore is back with another project. Like many others, I was eagerly anticipating a follow up to her fantastic 2020 album "God Has Nothing to Do With This..." which would have been horrorcore album of the year if uh ya know, clipping didn't drop that beast of an album.

While this album ... read more

It's funny seeing fans across social media legitimately be upset over this like, you're a fan, you should know Thom hates this song with all his heart

idk it's cool and has an interesting blend of RnB and IDM but yeah there's really nothing else to ride home about and therefore nothing for me to really write about.

ARTV really said this band is the best thing to happen to indie music in the past decade as if Car Seat Headrest, Mac Demarco, Bon Iver, st. Vincent, and Vampire Weekend don't exist.

HOOOOOO I can not stop pumping out hot takes huh. Yeah this one took me a while to understand why I didn't like it that much. It was greatly produced and performed yet yeah I agree with Fantano, this thing can sometimes get obnoxiously derivative. It just feels like they really did nothing to update the formula ... read more

Hey there! I’m making a community list for the end of the world, and I would love for you to contribute.

“The surrounding buildings, in ruins. The remaining survivors, scrambling to find anything that remains. Fire flickers in the pitch-black, creating just a sliver of radiance. Miraculously, you find an old device that can play music. You can only play one album as the battery is nearly dead. Knowing that you have little time left, what is the one album that you choose to listen to as you watch the world crumble before your eyes?”

The album topic could discuss a disastrous time, its sound could fit the vibe of a post apocalyptic setting, or it could be one of your favorite albums that you would want to experience for the last time.

Please provide the artist, album, and an explanation as to why you chose that specific album.

Thank you for reading <3

Here’s the list:

This live is extraordinary without a doubt, but it is also important to take into account that this one is a symbol of the fact that it is the last live and recording of Coltrane, 3 months before his death which gives the work an indescribable mythical aspect! (:

Yo YWG, that's a great question, actually I don't think so because the series is based on the official release of the album, so in 2001. Because in fact one of the elements of this series is based on the impact of the album at a specific time + in the future but an archival album like Coltrane's doesn't "matter" for the album format in 1967 per se. Nevertheless I don't rule out the fact that I'll do non-series episodes so why should I change my mind because it's a real wonder

Mainly here to keep track of the albums I've listened to and to keep up with new stuff. Maybe even make some friends too :)
If it helps to know me better, Death Grips, Odd Future, and Kanye really made me get more invested in music.
Also I really don't have many negative scores because I, ya know, listen to things that people actually like
