After rising to fame through The Voice of Holland, Maan returns with Eclips, an album where she finally attempts to break free from the generic, faceless pop sound of her first two records. And honestly, I really appreciate that ambition. I'm gonna be honest, I've never listened to a full Maan album purely because her music just never interested me. Her music is on the radio a lot and from the many songs that I have heard I never truly saw her personality and artistic vision. To be honest, I don't understand how this does not get more attention...

Perfect? No, by any means. Catchy? More often than not, I'd say.
Is it interesting? In my opinion, YES.
It does not get as far as some would like, fair. It also does go far enough to lose some of the most "easy listeners", I guess. The result is a project, that does not seem to interest many people. But I consider that to be a pity.
