The debut album and second project of 2024 from London-based project Shoplifting, after "MIXTAPE" in February, takes a step away from the drum and bass influences to focus on a short-but-sweet record of lo-fi bedroom shoegaze. The fast pacing and short song lengths ensure "noisereduction" never gets boring or loses your focus, while the excellent, raw but detailed production makes it incredibly easy on the ears throughout.
This album is a roller coaster of emotions. A combination of so many different vibes and genres, yet it tells a story. From purely ambient to breakcore to shoegaze and so on, you are settled in a trippy journey.
Loved this album a lot, my favorite tracks being moult and arms.
