Blanco’s first studio album, GILBERTO’S SON, is an overall solid collection of songs. At 36 mins long and lasting 13 tracks, most of them are a banger, however some are quite mid ngl. Probs the least amount of filler on a Blanco project so far due to how concise it is. It starts off really well, with 5 tracks in a row that are bangers, however does fizzle out towards the end. Overall fine and worth a listen if you’re into uk rap
Blanco continues to iterate and perfect his sounds of equal UK drill and Brazilian funk influences to culminate in “Gilberto’s Son”, an extremely solid and consistent album filled with great features from newcomer Nemzzz and former Harlem Spartan member MizorMac.
Very solid album. Blanco can sometimes be inconsistent but I think this is his most consistent project to date, with more hits than misses. That being said, there are some mid songs on this album, but the greater number of bangers on this track with smooth production and great flows makes this an enjoyable listen.
