If you imagine someone has never heard an indie pop song but has had it described to them really well, they would wind up writing something like ‘Delete Ya’. It’s all there, but the subject matter feels bland, and the song as a whole lacks depth.

I have been listening to Joe since his 2023 release D-SIDES and I am just not impressed with this, and I’m pretty surprised it has won almost everyone else over… I suppose it is a little more catchy than the first single.

Quite a bit more eclectic and enjoyable than Basic Being Basic, which was already a ton of fun. The vocal melodies here are really strange- in a good way. We could have a sleeper neo-psych hit on our hands come April methinks
The choruses are some of the catchiest and best-written I have ever heard, and the verses are at least great.

The first time I listened to this song, I did not like it because I thought that the Del-EEETE ya sounded like that's BAAAAAS-ic. Idk what I was on, I mean I guess it sounds kinda similar, but it doesn't make the song any worse. This song felt like a little bit of a combination of the Crux and Decide- focusing more on those guitar and more earthy songs, while also incorporating some synth magic in there. The bridge is very fun and just very Djo idk how to explain it.
