ngl, I thought vol.3 was a much better project. I feel like Dry Eel was more focused on that one, while vol.4 to me sounds more similar to one of those occasional throwaway Dry Eel ep's. And while there are still good moments on here, a lot of this album sounds like typical WTF-core, iykwim.

while not lyrically or technically masterful like dry eel vol. 1 + 2, or conceptually genius dry eel vol. 3, dry eel vol. 4 stands out as the single most fun album dry eel has ever released. each song oozes the same classic dry (get it) and ironic humour dry eel is known for, songs like moroccan driving license, sex 2, etc. all display the hallmark dry eel footnotes of "i wanna fuck dj breadcrumb" or "i am moroccan" while experimenting further than he's ever taken it. ... read more
