OG ILLENIUM IS BACK!! AWAKE ILLENIUM IS BACK!! this track is so fucking good. everything about it from the heartbreaking lyrics we can all relate to and then the beautiful build-up into the drop. tom fooled all of us into thinking he was jon bellion because his voice was so good and alna’s voice is so damn beautiful, i don’t know how nick keeps finding them. a masterpiece.
ILLENIUM is back, baby! While I feel that Tom Grennan’s vocals aren’t mixed all that well, he still manages to provide a powerful performance, and Alna does great here. The melodies are strong, the lyrics are great for a mainstream EDM track (but slightly above average for the normal song), and the drop goes hard. Well done!
Many artists shockingly match an ILLENIUM-style song, but I don't think Tom's one to pull it off, or maybe that's the illusion behind the slightly distorted-sounding vocal mixing, which doesn't sound good. Either way, this could've been made by someone starting out. It's just alright.
