It broke my heart seeing how kim said her album had been ready for months but her label wouldn't let her release it.
this is simply an act of hatred and transphobia towards Kim Petras, and yes, transphobia because her own label literally treats her as some talentless girl and a low-numbers artist (sales, streams, etc.). I am not super involved in the Kim Petras world. I have heard a few of her solo songs, and her feature on the latest Frost Children album, and both of her features on the Charli albums were amazing (especially Unlock It I loveeee that song) but I can say for the solo stuff I've heard, this is the BEST she has ever sounded! A strong ep with songs that simply slap. Kim knows what works for her musically here and it's refreshing. Hope there's at least a deluxe for 'Detour' with these songs so they can get released! I believe the situation with her record label and these songs are weird so let's just wish for it to get resolved. And if not, we can always just vibe to the music videos on YouTube anyway.
