AOTY's @Coconut00 stated my sentiment as I find myself waxing nostalgic for the 80s synth sounds- especially from maverick composers such as Vince Clark & Neil Arthur. Arthur is the weak link here, which is aggravating as he's also clearly the ringleader. Vince Clarke and Benge - as always - sound fantastic, and for fans of Erasure and all things synthpop, the sonic palette is rich beyond reason.

Eleven synth-heavy covers by a couple of 80s vets from Blancmange and Erasure. I love the soundscape cause I love synth but the vocals were very hit or miss for me and I'd probably have preferred original material over these "reimaginings". However, since I think covers should at least justify their existence by changing things up significantly, this does do that much... for better or worse.
